Yes, this place is very inexpensive. In the spring, it is crawling with tree planters, with all the noise and inconvenience that entails. My room was very gross. It stank like cigarette smoke and stale body odor, everything looked grimy, and it was full of flies and god-knows-what other creatures. There was a large, mouldy crack in the ceiling of...

Friendly staff and the bedding was clean and bug free, but that's all that was good about this place. Room REEKED of smoke, the train noise was unbelievable, the carpet was sticky, and the ceiling was peeling.

If you're looking for a nice hotel this isn't it, it's cheap for a reason. We were just passing through for the night so a bed and a shower were all we needed. We also got great service and a little breakfast before we got on our way in the morning. Pretty damn good for $62!! The bed was clean,...

Right on the highway, easy to park, clean, WiFi and breakfast included. Not fancy, a bit dated, but for the price, we aren't complaining. Friendly host. Good spot if you travel with dogs. Lawn right by the hotel for walking.

Stopped in Quesnel, BC and looked for lodging. The Gold Pan was right on the road and took a chance. Very friendly manger and very accommodating. Room was clean and satisfactory. This is not a high priced luxury motel but was very economical. Free breakfast with limited offerings. Very close to the highway so there was some traffic noise -...

Noisy trains blowing whistles traffic all night hey trucks Jake breaks. Walls paper thin. Room smells old. Said coffee and breakfast and there was no coffee pot in room or any breakfast available.over all I wouldn't let my dog stay here.

We have made this our Soft Landing Place to stay on our annual vacation to Grandma & Grandpa's house up North! Which is a 2 day road trip. We are always greeted with a warm & welcoming smile and it doesn't matter what time we roll in! The rooms we have stayed in were spacious and always clean & homey!...

The place is older, true, but it's clean and well-cared for. Our room had all the amenities: fridge, micro, coffeemaker, wifi. In the morning there was a breakfast in a separate room with tables. Cereal, yogurt, toast, fruit, that sort of thing. Coffee, tea. The owner, Parvinder, was so nice! He chatted with us while we had our morning coffee....

Not the Ritz, however, the front desk clerk was extremely welcoming and friendly. In fact if I had the money I would buy him a shiny new resort to run. Customer service 5 stars. A friendly face and genuine warmth is EXACTLY what a person needs after a long drive.

We travelled all day long from Prince Rupert and we wanted to stay in Quesnel for the night because we were going to Barkerville the next day!! I found The Gold Pan Motel on line and called to book a room. Well, the pics were very deceiving.........we arrived at 6:30 with my family of 7 (2adults/5kids) I had to try...
