This place was great. The owners were welcoming and helpful. The only possible issue is if you don't have a car, then you'd have to pay to get to Quebec City. But if you book through hostelworld you get a free shuttle, so that's what we did and it was no problem. Very lovely hostel.

Friendly and supportive environment. Professional service. Delicious breakfast. Very clean and quiet. Kitchen access and many private bathrooms. Shuttle service from airport and Old town with small fee. Meet people. 15 minutes walk to a beautiful waterfall and park. 30 minutes walk to Costco. Beautiful autumn leaves in October. Aloha!

Even if the hosts offer a shuttle service 3 times a day to Québec old city center it's not an optimal location to stay if you have only 1-2 nights- the driving is annoying. No Restaurants except a mc donalds close by, couldn't find a proper supermarket. Hostel interieur is good but in general it is lacking the atmosphere I... More

The hostel is in a good neighborhood. The staff are friendly and efficient and the hostel is clean with good beds. Andre speaks excellent english. So no worries if you can't speak french. Andre arranged for Maud to drive me to Plage Jacques Cartier on the St Lawrence river free of charge, which was good of them. Alcohol is allowed... More

We spent two nights here to allow us a full day to explore Old Quebec. The auberge was clean and friendly and in a quiet area. The shuttle to the old town was great. I would definitely stay here again.

Auberge a LouLou is a friendly, clean, secure and affordable hostel accommodation. LouLou, Andre and staff are nice people who enjoy to provide excellent service. The location is also perfect for taking a day or two when travelling long distance to go and return in the Lower St. Lawrence and Gaspesia Peninsula.

It's great that LouLou's is immaculate, that the owners are friendly and knowledgeable, the breakfast is tasty, and that the location is convenient to old Quebec City, but what makes LouLou's hostel one of the greats, in my opinion, is how the staff handles problems. Four of us--two couples--arrived after a late dinner to find a huge group preparing dinner.... More

We had a great experience here, first night with a private bathroom (a little more expensive but definitely nice) and a second night with just the beds. Breakfast is extra, but well worth it! There's a large map in the sitting area where you can leave a flag in the place you're visiting from. All in all a very cozy... More

I only stayed one night, but the owner made me feel very welcome. I had driven from Halifax, so when I arrived at 5pm, I was exhausted. When he showed me to my room, I had a quick nap. I awoke to a pretty sunset. The owner said there were some waterfalls worth visiting only 1.2km away. Well, it was... More

Clean room (private ensuite) and good kitchen with utensils, toaster, detergent, big fridge, coffee machine, kettle. Plenty of parking, nice patio (a bit of train noise occasionally as it is right next to train station). Good small or large breakfast option. Very friendly staff and lots of communal area for those who like to hangout.
