This is a Victorian building which has lots of steep stairs. We were shown into a room at the front of the property with a queen bed, a basin in the room and a shower and lavatory in a small room. The shower smelt of damp. The room was double aspect and needed decorating. We changed to a room in...

I enjoyed my stay in June 2015, the owner was a little particular about some of the items in the room. However, everything was quaint and I enjoyed my stay. The location is within walking distance to the Lunenburg waterfront yet way from the main hustle and bustle.

We stayed in the annex, located behind the main lodge. Our room was very spacious and well decorated. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Although not in center of town, it's only a few short blocks walk there. There is plenty of free street parking around the Lodge. The breakfast basket and in-room coffee is different than a "bed &...

On the positive side- the innkeeper was very nice, it was not too expensive compared to some other B&Bs, and the room and whole inn was nicely decorated. On the negative side - it is right across the street from a Burger King - the only fast food chain we saw in Lunenberg, so apparently every teenager in the area...

The property had a vintage charm, but unfortunately this charm did not carry over to the stay. Our room was on the first floor and most of the evening there was a screeching child in the hall. The breakfast was some grapes, bananas, and wrapped bars put in a basket left the day before. The power went out about 6:30...

I feel I need to respond to this review as it is leaving out some very key details. The "screaming child" this reviewer is referring to happened to be a child with special needs that is the grandchild of one of my staff members. The child was only in the building for a very short time and certainly not past...

The town of Lunenburg is a favourite on our trip to Maine from Halifax. We stayed in the bluenose Lodge before but this time it was a bit of a disappointment. The breakfast especialley was not what we expected. You just dont serve a meal in a basket left the day before in your room. Shame, the location and atmosphere...

Although it looks like a haunted house from the outside, the Bluenose Lodge is bright, clean, and well kept. Our room was spacious and the comfortable bed made for a good night's sleep. The Hostess was welcoming and overall the accommodations were what we had hoped for. The Bluenose Lodge is located a very short walk from the centre of...

Andrea was a lovely host. The accommodation was true to period. A hot breakfast, with coffee and tea served would have been nice. Wireless internet was spotty. The location was good, however the street was very busy and loud.

Not what we were expecting. Owner was very nice, but the accommodation was disappointing. Don't expect breakfast or brewed coffee. You get a basket with granola bars, and a few pieces of fruit. Keurig in the room with coffee mate whitener. So we went to Tim Hortons.

This is a lovely building and Andrea is both helpful and friendly. I guess you would stay here if you want a vintage experience so as long as that is your fancy then you won't be disappointed. It is close enough to walk to the centre, easy on street parking. There are stairs to climb and the rooms are characterful...
