We stayed here at the end of August 2013, and had a wonderful time. We were in the heritage room; it was big, clean, and comfortable. Christine gave us a map and suggestions of things to do and see, and where to eat. We felt very well taken care of. The steam shower and sound therapy in our room put...

My husband and I stayed at Addington Arms this past week and cannot say enough good things about this place! From the moment we arrived, Christine welcomed us with open arms and gave us some wonderful recommendations for places to eat and things to see. Our room was immaculate, and the bed and breakfast is within walking distance of everything....

Hospitality is wonderful. Chris is very friendly, exceptionally helpful but does not intrude in any way. Nothing is too much trouble from choosing your breakfast time, to making dinner reservations and suggestions. Help on things to do and places to see. The breakfast is by far the best we have experienced. Fresh fruit, yoghurt juice and coffee/tea followed by a...

This is a lovely inn with large, beautiful rooms. The innkeeper, Chris, is very friendly and charming. She gave us directions to a very scenic route to Mahone Bay. The breakfast was delicious. The inn is one block away from the waterfront.

Chris is lovely and welcoming, but in no way overbearing. She has the best tips and suggestions for things to do, places to see and spots to eat (and even great routes for scenic drives!) Dan's breakfast can't be beat. From local products to homemade specialties there is definitely no need for lunch afterwards. We stayed in the Spankersail Suite...

The Flying Jib suite was bright and colorful with a view of the harbor included. Chris was so much fun and provided tips on things to do and where to eat. Dan's food was superb. No lunch or dinner needed. You won't go wrong staying at the Addington Arms.

We loved the Addington Arms - a lovely B and B. Our room (Heritage Suite), was a lovely two-room suite with a great view of Lunenburg - so much room to spread out and be comfortable. The bed was extremely comfortable (something we rarely find), and the steam room/aroma therapy shower was a nice touch. The breakfasts were so yummy...

What a great B&B experience. We stayed on the top floor in the suite and loved every minute. It's two flights up to a beautiful harbor view, sitting room and bedroom, with a large, well appointed bathroom. Lots of windows for cross ventilation as well as air conditioners in the bedroom and sitting room. Every detail has been thought of....

If you are looking for a "Crowne Plaza" experience the Addington Arms is not for you. But, if you are looking for the "Empress" on a budget, this may be the place for you. Once in the double doors you will be greeted by your new best friend, Chris. Sparkly, bright, warm, and inviting Chris is a delight. No pretensions...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Addington Arms B&B sits atop 2 fine art galleries and atop the six square block historic district of this UNESCO world heritage site, affording ocean views from all of our suites and room. Shopping, dining and exploring are all just steps outside your front door. We are not your typical B&B but more akin to a boutique hotel, with stocked mini fridges, TV's and en-suite steam-rooms with aroma therapy or an air-jet tub in very spacious surroundings. On-site parking is available as street parking is problematic in the summer months. Our breakfasts are as memorable as the town of Lunenburg itself. ... more   less
