We were driving through Kicking Horse Pass / Lake Louise area and it started to snow pretty heavily. Having just passed the exits for Lake Louise we came across this hotel and were glad we did. Prices were far more reasonable than actual Lake Louise hotels, and although the room was small, the restaurant was great and the staff were...

This hotel is not walkable to anything, but it's a short drive to trail heads in Yoho NP. Nice views from the rooms. Affordable rates. Steady noise from the highway and the railroad. On-site restaurant was mediocre at best. Staff are friendly, though, and the room was large.

My family and I found that the staff here were rude to us, and weren't friendly at all. We had trouble sleeping at night because of the location of the hotel. It's so close to the highway and you can hear the trains throughout the night.

Handy accomodation to base yourself en route from Banff to Jasper. Close to Lake Louise but without being as expensive. Booked in advance so reasonably priced at height of tourist season.Situated between busy highway and a lake. Noise wasn't too bad considering. Balcony to sit out.Bar closes early.

This is a lovely little hotel on the highway between Lake Louise and Field, near the viewing stages for the spiral tunnels. The hotel is rustic but comfortable and the staff are lovely and hospitable. Continental breakfast is adequate although there are not many places to sit in the actual breakfast area. We ended up taking our breakfast into the...

The lodge is just east of Field and is a great location for visiting Yoho National Park and Lake Louise. It's very close to a busy road and opposite to a lake on the other side of which is the railway, so it is noisy (we had a room at the front). Our room was big , though didn't have...

We paid more for a night at the Great Divide Lodge than we did for a small suite in an upmarket downtown Vancouver hotel. It was very disappointing as the small room came without - a kettle, coffee tea cream or sugar, a hair dryer, a telephone, cable TV, any mats on the floor, a bible. It DID come with...

We needed a good base to sleep and hike in the Sherbrooke lake area and this lodge was adequate. When we finished our hike and came back to our room, it was comfortable and relaxing. Nothing particular but it was nice to find a room instead of a car that you need to drive. In the afternoon the scene of...

I often stay at the great divide when skiing at Lake Louise rather than travelling back to Calgary. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the food is great and the service is friendly. There are nicer places in Lake Louise but they don't compare to the value found at the Great Divide.

Only stayed one night and snared their last room in the lodge next door to main building. Up a few stairs and entered a small but plenty big enough room for 2 adults and 2 kids. Two double bunks in the room. Clean, tidy and lovely scenery outside our door. Perfect for our needs. Didn't stop for breakfast the next...
