The hotel needs a make-over, they need to paint everything, the rooms could be cleaner. It looks really old. The staff was friendly and helpfull. But we find that $ 147,00 is to much money for what you get.

We were hesitant to go to this lodge due to the negative commmentaires. We were pleasantly surprised. The noise we barely disturbed. I believe it is depending on the level of tolerance of each. This is not a Wilderness area. What we liked: 1 to 1 many walks nearby (not to be missed behind the lodge: Padget lookout 500m vertical...

The rooms to the north side in the main buildung are not an acceptable accomodation due to permanent floor and furniture vibrations and strong noises of the all day and night running generator. It is absolute not worth the high price! This comment does not regard the other rooms, wich may be o.k. the reception was neither able for an...

Stayed 2 nights 31 Aug/1 Sept 2015. Being situated by a lake with mountains and the Canadian Pacific Railway as a backdrop makes this a totally unique location. The property looks great from the outside (good to see various national flags fluttering outside), and reception area and main building have a nice "warm" feeling, and we encourage all UK nationals...

One of the best cheap accomodations near Lake Louise, and it can also display some great view on a secondary valley and lake in the Field area. The rooms are standard but spacious, the restaurant is ok. Also relaxing to be away from the crowds.

Where to begin... the price was a ghastly $220 per night for the Wapta Lodge (the back building). The room consisted of no carpet, two double beds with very soft mattresses (felt like I might fall out of bed and I'm not a heavy person), one small kitchenette table with two chairs, see-through curtains on the window set on a...

We stayed in room #26 in the back building. The room was 2 doubles, perfectly clean. Only complaint was the super bright fluorescent lights in the room and outside the room that kept the room bright all night long due to the light curtains. Recommend as a budget options, we stayed one night before catching the early bus to Lake...

This hotel is very rustic, but charming. It is West of Lake Louise, actually before the town of Field. Pros: right on the TransCanada highway for people travelling through the Rockies, good food at the restaurant, extremely comfortable/high quality mattresses. Cons: not really near anything, no breakfast available at all, no elevator if you have heavy luggage. We ended up...

The room (second floor and no elevator)was bare bones - lights that didn't work, crowded with tired and old furniture, bathroom clean but teensy and extremely out-dated. Since the lodge is run by a generator, they can get around a lot of things that are expected in a basic room, such as a coffeemaker, phone to call the front desk,...

The Great Divides is situated in a perfect location for exploring the lesser known Yoho National Park as well as the area of Lake Louise. It is a 3 hour drive from Calgary airport to the hotel on easy roads so was ideal as a first stop after the flight. We preferred the quieter and less touristy are of Yoho....
