Cute rooms with helpful staff. Perfectly suited our needs after 30 hours of travel. There was even a little patio area attached to the room that was great for eating breakfast. Very clean and tidy room.

We stayed 4 nights in January 2017. Old but very clean motel, If you are travelling with little kids not advisable because the stairs are very very narrow. My boys are 12 and 15. Staff are very helpful and friendly. I will stay again. Remember no A/c in the rooms but you don't need any A/C, when you open the...

The motel is very tired. It needs to have some significant upgrade work done on it in the immediate future. Many parts of our room were well worn and probably had not been upgraded since the motel was completed which I would estimate as the late 1970s/ early 1980s. It was clean and the beds comfortable with very personable service...

Our experience in January 2017 was as described in many other reviews and so I won't repeat. What is worth considering is that for many years this motel has offered good quality, clean and affordable accommodation. The owners have consistently satisfied the needs of most of their clients, and they continue this trend in a friendly and willing way. Our...

Another good motel which is dated and old but reasonably well maintained and more than adequate for a short stay. Our unit had been updated over time with paint and fresh curtains plus modern appliances. A few running repairs on the joinery and shower door but the main functionality is still there. Quite clean and a few nice touches too...

Most comfortable bed we've ever slept on. The only drawback for the motel is that it is on a street with very bad traffic. It takes a long time to get to at most times of the day. Our room was HUGE and had all the kitchen amenities. We even had a very large patio with a picnic table. Old,...

Options in Howick are slim but this is both much cleaner and friendlier than the other option (Golflands motel). The rooms are nothing flash but are always clean and have decent facilities. Staff were helpful and friendly, happy to offer advice on decent places to eat. Wifi was free and decent speeds which is handy if you are staying for...

If you like the idea of staying in a clean, tidy but old motel on a really busy road then Howick Motor Lodge is just the place for you. As other reviewers have said, while the motel is clean and tidy it is pretty old. While I was prepared for this I was still taken aback at the age somewhat....

Stayed at this hidden Gem from May 18, 2016 to May 21, 2016 with my family. This place is old but has character and it is a family run business which we enjoy to support. From talking with the young lady on the phone through check in and check out, Daisy at the front desk were always very professional, courteous,...

We stayed here for 2 nights, attending a conference in nearby Howick Village. Room was clean, very comfortable, exceptionally efficient and friendly service. Highly recommended. Price also very affordable and value for money.
