In May 2017, me and my husband, stayed one night in de Helmcken falls lodge. After reading the reviews, we were a little bit apprehensive but after checking in, we were shown the room. We were pleasantly suprised after finding out the room was refurbished with new beds and carpeting. The overall look of the room was clean and tidy....

When over worked underpaid staff tells me that they have to split tips, that tells me all I need to know. A trailer is NOT a cabin. A trailer is a trailer. Views are nice but you're better off staying in town and driving in for the day. Cheaper on food too. Too many mosquitos out there. Too few amenities...

Thank you for your review. I should like to clarify the tip situation. We pool the entire tips from the lodge whether from the restaurant, left in the rooms or given at checkout and the tips are distributed equally amongst all the staff that work, based upon the hours worked, to make sure you have a great stay with us....

Lovely location with spacious clean rooms and a great view. The hotel staff(and owners I believe) were both helpful and interested in us-gave us loads of info. Pleasing atmosphere in the restaurant and great food/service. Well worth the slight detour from Clearwater itself.

We stopped over for one night on route from Jasper to Whistler we arrived before the 3pm check in time and the receptionist suggested some local sights to see until we could check in which were beautiful. We checked into our spacious clean and lovely decorated chalet which was so peaceful. With on suite and toiletries provided, coffee making facilities...

We booked 2 nights at the lodge to break the travel between whistler and jasper. Excellent stopover. The hotel is excellent with clean and spacious rooms. True charm comes from the staff. Kitchen is great. Must do for those who want to stopover in clearwater.

... if you don't, stay away. We loved it. Although basic (no TV, no fridge etc), the room is OK. We had a Log Cabin room that had it's own terrace with a nice view. Beds are good and room is clean. It is quiet remote but the Lodge has it's own restaurant. Quality of the food is good. Not...

Against some of the reviews here we loved this lodge at this remote location. There is no TV, WiFi or other fancy stuff, but the rooms where quite and new furnished and the staff was always helpful. A good starting point for trips in the wells gray park and it's countless waterfalls.

Front desk was very helpful. The horses on the property were friendly and let you pet them. The cabins seemed nice from the outside, unfortunately we stayed in the other lodge accommodations that were only about $ 50 less. They felt like a trailer. Beds were uncomfortable, my husband who is 6'4 was too long for the bed. They charge...
