This is a place we visit 3 or 4 times a year as a meeting point to catch up with friends and whilst we have had one less than good experience overall we always find that the food and service is great. Visited in March 2017 and once again had a great meal and would especially recommend the sticky toffee...

We met family there as a halfway point and were impressed. Friendly and pleasant staff, who were happy to oblige. There were two dogs in the restaurant area and they were well behaved - so no issues there. We had left ours at home, probably just as well, as they are very enthusiastic Labradors! We went for the set menu...

Went for a birthday meal last Friday and was very impressed. Particularly recommend the spring roll starter and the sticky toffee bread and butter pudding for desert. Went with the family and the food looked good all round. It was quite quiet when we got there but maintained a nice atmosphere, the staff were faultless and welcoming

Expensive dinner this evening spoiled by whining dogs at the bar. Food mediocre anyway. Understandably not busy. We mentioned to barman that dogs were disturbing and were told that it was a dog friendly pub. Ok. shame not a human friendly pub then.

I have visited the Mulberry Inn a few times - and it's a very well kept place.. DJ & TV star Chris Evan's and his business partner Camilla Hansen purchased the venue in 2004 and spent good money fixing it up, and turning it into a fairly decent brasserie style food / pub destination. Although Mr Evan's is now selling,...

This was not our first visit to The Mulberry and once again it did not disappoint. It has a lovely relaxed atmosphere. Despite it being busy the service was good and the staff friendly and welcoming. Lunch was very good, two of us had the steak which was really excellent.

We have always wanted to visit here but location was against us until we moved south just in time for Christmas. Because of that we thought we would take a chance and so very pleased we did. Lovely location for this charming pub with a great atmosphere. We both had three courses and very much enjoyed them all. I can...

We recently stayed at this hotel. the check in was fab as we were late due to traffic. Our meal booking in the restaurant was held despite us being so delayed. The young man who showed us our room was very helpful. We were going to a wedding nearby and I needed a taxi for a hairdressing appointment next day...

Went as part of a 12 strong surprise 30th birthday celebration on a Saturday evening. We had all ordered beforehand, apart from the birthday boy. It was great. Service was good. Food was excellent and we were allowed to 'decorate' table and near area with birthday ephemera. We were the last to leave but didn't feel like they were waiting...

Excellent food, which was well cooked and nicely presented. The service was below expectations, as empty glasses that we brought from the bar before we sat down were not removed and a drinks order completely forgotten. Although the restaurant was not extremely busy, we were put on a table round a corner and felt a bit forgotten. The optional 'Service...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Serving freshly prepared food, sourced locally, made with love. Our inspiration for the food and feel at the Mulberry comes from our strong belief that a pub is somewhere to relax, laugh & spend time with friends, family and four-legged friends*... All whilst enjoying some of the best produce the British country side offers. We welcome diners & drinkers alike with a great selection of old and new world wines & local ales. When the weather allows it you can dine & drink in our beer garden and let the kids play on the play area. When work is required you can log onto our free wifi. And if a party needs to be arranged we will help you from the first idea to getting you in that last taxi home on the night. Over the years we have been lucky to host an amazing array of world class cars, Children In Need charity events & even the odd pop star/diva, but what we really love is to serve all of you who walk through our doors every week and allow us to do what we do best. Which is all of the above! If you haven't been - come. If you've been - we can't wait to see you again! ... more   less
