No hesitation in recommending Larkbeare Grange as a very pleasant B&B. Charlie and Julia are lovely hosts, very knowledgable about local highlights and restaurants and keen to help. Bedroom comfortable and sure to sleep well. Breakfast a treat too.

My wife and myself travelled to Cornwall on Sunday 31st July and chose to make two stops en-route. Due to my recent heart attack this seemed to be the best option in order to break the long journey up. We stayed in the Brecon Beacon in Wales over night and on the following day we set off to Larkbeare Grange...

We wanted to spend a few days in this part of East Devon to give us easy access to some of the places of interest and family history ( as it turned out) . Larkbeare Grange is a lovely Georgian house with a few select rooms let by the highly genial hosts, Charlie and Julia . Arriving late on a...

What an amazing find via trip advisor ! We were warmly welcomed by Charlie & Julia and shown our delightful bedroom and shown the dining room where breakfast would be the next day. We were offered freshly made cafetiere coffee and tea which was brought to our room whilst we settled in briefly before going to a wedding nearby at...

This really is a lovely, idyllic place to stay. Julia and Charlie are lovely, accommodating people who are very welcoming in a relaxed, non-imposing way. The house and grounds are straight out of a Jane Austen novel. Wonderful house and fabulous setting with croquet lawn and grazing sheep immediately in front of the house with sweeping views over the stunning...

Charlie and Julia warmly welcome guests to their beautiful country home and nothing is too much trouble. Everything is homemade or locally sourced and it shows. From the freshly baked scones to 3 types of homemade bread for toast with breakfast (the homemade preserves are also delicious) they go out of their way to see that you are well looked...
