This is the 3rd time we have stayed in this resort and as always it delivered. The Domain, is stunning and offers fabulous trails for snowshoeing and cross country skiing - we were out for 4 hours on Saturday and did not see another soul - the quiet is unequaled and the deer tracks never end. The cabins (Aurelie is...

This lodge has old world charm and understated elegance. The meals were over the top and the chef accommodating to particular dietary requirements. The staff was friendly and eager to assist but not in your face. The establishment attracts an interesting and eclectic assortment of guests, who to us - an older male couple - were friendly but not intrusive....

Picturesque location quiet and beautiful. Cabin was comfortably appointed with well stocked wood bin and a beautiful view of the lake. Our one-on-one service was beyond words. From Lynn, Brenda, Chef Emily and the warm welcome we received on our last morning from the Count & Countess de Moustier, owners of the beautiful estate, our 3-day stay was a perfect...

We didn't even unpack, it was that bad, we left before dinner. This place is a dump. Do yourself a huge favor and read the other bad reviews because every word is TRUE, and 2nd by my experience, except I can't comment on the food, but going by the old miniscule coffee pot (and your only choice is 'cabin' tap...

i enjoyed a beautiful dinner with charming company. Hiking the trails to the pristine Delphi lake is like experiencing a magical piece of Canada, except the only sounds are nature. The Domain is great for getting away from it all and having time to reflect on the simple pleasures in life. A great respite to get away from it all....a...

Since the Management changed, The Domain Change. The New French Girl is really arrogant and not friendly at all. Also Dante is back after 25 years away... he should stayed away. The food is not really extraordinary now. There is no reason to come back at the Domain. When the French chef was there... the food quality was amazing. The...

Dear aioros 16 Thank you for your candid review. While everyone is entitled to their own opinion, after reflection, we had to wonder if you had mistaken us for another inn. We hope you will take a look at the other evaluations on the site and you will see that everyone has been more than pleased with the new ideas...

We enjoyed an idyllic 3 days at Domain of Killien and it's clear that the recent - and ongoing - improvements at this fabulous cottage resort on the shorelins at Lake Drag just 10 mins from Haliburton are now earning the Domain the positive reviews it certainly deserves. This is very much a home from home experience where you can...

I have to admit, I'm a bit surprised by a few of the negative reviews. I traveled here in the summer with my girlfriend and we had a fantastic time. The rooms here are basically small cabins and, yes, they are a bit "rustic". I suppose I could dock them a dot because our cabin was starting to show its...

My husband and I have spent our annaversary at another inn on Eagle Lake for many years. We often saw the sign for Domain of Killian and thought it sounded intriguing so we booked a two night stay there. We spent quite a bit of time looking at their web site to pick out the chalet we wanted. It all...

The Domain of Killien is a very special place. While it might be considered somewhat rustic to some, the majority of our guests find it romantic and a welcome change from typical hotels. We encourage and strive for this kind of reputation. Your comments about the furniture are alarming. You see, most of our pieces have been hand picked from...
