This hotel has recently undergone some nice renovations to its common areas, and the rooms should be much better when their planned renovations are completed. They aren't bad now - just a slight bit tired. HOWEVER, you won't believe this... Upon check-in we noticed a...More
Minutes off of Highway 1 for easy access. Right across from Guildford Town Center mall, so centally located. Long time well established hotel with an excellent reputation. One of the best Sunday brunches in the lower mainland. Great service, lovely appointed rooms, great beds! Will...More

Thank you for your feedback! We are so glad that you enjoyed our property and location.
Nearly $200 a night for what?? No fridge, no microwave, old noisy air conditioner and no breakfast. Our room was on the 3rd floor with no view. It is a noisy location. The hotel seems old and grubby especially for $197/night. We were forced to...More

The top floor suite renovations are wonderful. The hospitality room, with its amazing breakfasts and professional coffee machine were very appreciated. We were there for a convention and, at one time, had about 18 people in our suite. There was room for everyone to gather....More

Depends on what the extra cost is on the night you're considering. You get free continental breakfast (maybe valued at ~$10-15 per person), and free snacks and bottled water/bevs (~$5 p/p). Other amenities like free wifi and phone calls might not be worth as much, since wifi is free in all rooms and most travelers have cell phones.
You'd have to do the math but generally it's not worth it, usually a perk hotels use to reward loyal customers and some businesses permit their employees to book these rates. Think of it like flying first class. Is it objectively worth it financially? Probably not. Is it fun to splurge sometimes? Sure is!
