I visit Iqaluit fairly frequently and have stayed at all of the hotels over time, but it is The Hotel Arctic that gets my repeat business. Well located, friendly and reasonably priced, it offers standard rooms that are exactly what is needed. The walls are a touch thin, however, and I have found issues with the "15" rooms in the...

I stayed in Iqaluit for one week in February, for work. The hotel looks like new, the rooms are very modern with a micro wave and fridge, dishes and cutlery as well as a Keurig. Staff is friendly and answered all of my questions with a smile. Don't be alarmed by the people that seem to hang out in the...

Hotel Arctic runs like a 5 star hotel! Its a Hotel with a warm heart! The staff is so friendly and pay attention to every detail. The suite I was in was extremely clean as is the entire hotel. I attended a week long conference and the conference facilities were top shelf. The Hotel GM is highly visible and is...

We love this hotel! We have stayed here twice now, once while stuck during travel and once on medical (for nearly a week). The rooms are beautiful, very clean, and the beds are amazingly comfortable with very homey-feeling blankets and plenty of huge, soft pillows. When I say that it's "cozy", I mean in terms of how it feels in...

Very comfortable place to stay. Staff are friendly. Room was a reasonable size and comfortable. Windows open which was helpful in cooling down the room temperature. The on-site restaurant has a good menus for both breakfast and lunch and staff that are friendly and attentive. The location is perfect as it is in the core of the business area, such...

Good overall experience. There are not many choices and the remote location makes things more expensive than normal. Nice room, hot water and a restaurant in the motel made everything easy. WiFi is complementary but only for one device, so you cannot run a tablet or laptop and your phone at the same time unless you pay for Premium service....

I had a tremendous five night stay at the Hotel Arctic, Iqaluit, Nunavut. The hotel is nice and newly updated. The room was generous in size and very clean. I really liked the small kitchenette, complete with fridge, microwave, Keurig and lots of cups, glasses, plates, cutlery, etc. for me to use. The downstairs also had a bar and restaurant,...

Hotel Arctic is a great little hotel. Clean, well kept, with excellent staff. It's easily walkable from the airport (then again, all of Iqaluit is!) but a taxi is helpful in the colder months. Not sure if it still happens, but it used to be that local artists would visit the dining area to show/sell their work too.

Hotel Arctic is a solid 4 star hotel - welcoming and helpful front desk staff - secure (need room key card to access hotel in the evening) - good location - attached restaurant - nice sized rooms - housekeeping does a good job - good amenities, especially the kitchenette in the room (mini-fridge, kettle, toaster, microwave, Keurig coffee maker, utensils...

When traveling to such a remote place, one would expect accommodations less than what a person would find I a large urban center. However, this is not the case. Check in was fast, and service was great with a very friendly attendant. The rooms was very large, and clean and had all the amenities of a large chain hotel in...
