My wife and I camped here last weekend and were quite surprised that the Bar on this property was over serving its patrons. There was a group on the outside deck that were screaming profanities and looking for trouble with anyone in their vicinity. It was very boisterous until the bar shut down. Management seemed unwilling or unable to curtail... More

This motel is part of a larger complex that appears to need some repair. The motel portion is not located very near the office/breakfast area and only after being assured that it was quiet and safe did we feel comfortable staying. The room was very clean, quite comfortable, and we had no problems at all. We sat outside on the... More

We were looking for a room with one day lead time. This was one of the few with vacancies. Check-in is awkward, at a pub on the dock a few blocks away. The motel building looked bad but the room was even worse. Everything was old and end of life but clean. The included continental breakfast is very meager and... More

Directly at first sight when seeing the motel building we were disappointed. Entering the room only made us more disappointed. Everything is outdated, rusty and in need of repair. The mattresses were bad. We both woke up with pain in our backs. They have kept it clean though. I would never recommend this place nor come back. We had to... More

It was the least expensive place we found. We went to pickup a few things for a snack, microwave popcorn and such. When we got back to the room there was no microwave. We had a little laugh about that. I think they have the rooms to accommodate their charter business customers. Over all it was clean but basic.

This year being our turn to make the arrangements for our annual vacation with friends from Alberta I went ahead and did so. In April I paid full fee for reservations, they do not take deposits only full fees, for 2 RV sites in August. What a MISTAKE! We get there only to find that one of our sites was... More

We needed a room in Ucluelet and this was the only place we could find, $159.00, two of the most uncomfortable double beds, kitchen unit. Everything in the room was old an unkempt and rusty and falling apart. The pics online show a nice clean room, do not be fooled as we were. Do yourself a favour and carry a... More

My husband and I are traveling with a travel trailer through various parts of Canada this summer. I am retired and he is disabled. We are very much enjoying most of the places we’ve been thus far. Having said that, I do need to register a complaint about one place where we are currently staying, the Island West Resort in... More

Dirty, run down, unsafe!! There were no screens or locks on the windows. They cater to guests fishing so they have kitchens which if this place was actually taken care of would be perfect for families too. It was $150 for a night but it's not worth $50! Terrible beds, just plain gross!! Don't do it!!!

This is a large property beautiful situated on the inlet side of Ucluelet. There is a dumpy looking motel, a very dusty gravel road, a house covered in a blue tarp, camping sites, a pub called the Eagle's Nest and washrooms/showers on the ground floor. All the buildings are in very poor repair and at the very least look dirty.... More
