Had a lovely stay at rivendale, really quick to check in, very friendly staff, lovely atmosphere all round. Facilities were really good, slightly far out from our plot however all the other positives more than make up for this. Had a excellent meal in the prancing pony on site. In a perfect location to make the most of the beautiful...

Stayed here for the weekend in the large timber yurt. We had a fantastic time. The large yurt was very spacious and has an extra annex for a blow up bed although we just put ours in the middle of the floor. The wood burner was easy to get going and got very hot at points so if I would...

We stayed here for 10 days during a very wet spell of "summer" weather which had started a few days before our arrival and persisted until after we left. This park is located in an old quarry which I would imagine in nice weather would be nice. It is well placed for cycling enthusiasts (Tissington Trail) and for car owners...

Great location for the Tissington trail. Staff were friendly and helpful, good clean facilities. The pitch was a little water logged so we could not pitch the awning however generally happy with our stay with one exception. The dog mess on our pitch and along the pathways and around the toilets coupled with poor lighting at night meant it was...

Thank you for your review; we are glad you enjoyed your stay despite the soggy weather. Very sorry about the doggy doodoo, With the pitches, amenity buildings, play area etc spread wide apart over about 15 acres it takes about a day to litter pick/dog mess pick thoroughly over this area - to undo what a dog/litter bug does in...

I cannot fault this place at all !! It was exactly what they said over the phone 😊 It was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. All staff were jolly and very helpful. We stayed in the large Timber Yurt. It's was so cute. Just like what you would imagine a wizards cottage to be like. We arrived Xmas eve and...

Campsite was easy to get to from main road, and it was nice and quiet. Helpful reception and lovely pitch. It is ideally situated for exploring the Derbyshire Dales. There is also a regular bus stopping just outside the site.

First time away for Halloween weekend with the kids in the van, chose this place as had a pub on site if the weather got too bad, there was also a Halloween disco was on Saturday night. Arrived on Friday night, friendly greeting and given a map of the park and the toilet codes, our pitch I have to say...

Thank you for your kind words, glad you enjoyed the Halloween party. It had rained hard for several nights - which did not help the pitches. The central road is being tarmac surfaced over the shut down period, which should improve the road surface. We look forward to seeing you again. Best wishes from our staff.

Just returned from three nights here. We left after two in our touring caravan due to the constant rain. Now let me be clear! I'm not holding rivendale responsible for the weather! And I know it was an old quarry when I booked! Here goes. Site The whole site has little or no drainage. When it rains all of the...

Thank you for your review; we are glad you liked the cafe. The main access road is tarmac but the loop roads around the pitches are limestone and the lighting is low level; this was a planning requirement by the National park Authority. However, we agree with their low lighting policy and many visitors appreciate being able to see a...

We are a family of 6 age range 11-18 years. We booked a yurt in august just for the experience. We arrived at the site and were greeted by a friendly receptionist who gave information about the site and local attractions and walks that fitted our childrens ages. The site map was really easy to follow. The yurt itself was amazing...
