We called in as passing by fancying just a light snack and quick drink. The hotel was very clean & tidy. Very accomodating man called Trevor who greeted us offered to get us bread and olives and a bowl of chips - even though we could not see them on the menu - when we told him we didnt want...

Just back from our 2 night stay at the Pilgrim Hotel. This was a trip away as a birthday treat. Great 3* hotel. We up graded to a room with a view which gave us views over the rolling hills. There are local walks from the hotel which we ventured out on after checking in. There is a bar and...

Stayed for three nights midweek. Room very standard hotel room, clean and all amenities. View was excellent. We were on the ground floor - whoever was in the room above was a bit of an elephant! But it did not last too long. Food very good - much of it locally sourced. Portion size? This is not nouvelle cuisine! We...

Went here with a couple of friends on a Monday night. Have passed this hotel on numerous occasions but have never called in as it is a hotel so you are never too sure if they would be happy to serve non residents. They were busy for a Monday night and we had to sit in the bar area. Food...

We have recently stayed one night at the Pilgrim and the staff and food were excellent , the room was basic although we had upgraded, the beds were very soft and quite uncomfortable and the shower was not very powerful . We had booked for dinner which was lovely and all the staff very helpful and accommodating. The breakfast was...

We were given a room overlooking a busy main road the traffic noise was relentless and kept us both awake. The room itself was very basic a tv the size of a postage stamp the bed was a small double...

Many thanks for your review Karen. You were obviously disappointed with the view from your room and would have been happier with a Valley View room, which would have afforded a superb view of the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons. This option [for a £10 upgrade] should have been offered to you when you booked the room and I am...

Just two days before our planned trip to 'The Pilgrim' we suffered a sad personal loss (RIP Chunckey) that looked like we would have to cancel. I called the hotel and to our joy we were able to swap to a dog friendly room which meant that we could take our dog with us. The room was great - plenty...

We spent a weekend here with long term friends. It was great to catch up in lovely surroundings. The staff were ALL very pleasant and helpful. Food and wine was excellent. Rooms were clean and had homemade biscuits on the tea tray. Views across the valley were wonderful from both the dining areas and our room. You could pamper yourself...
