The lodge is very pretty, clean and surrounded by jungle sounds. The rooms are clean and well protected from mosquitos, nice view to the jungle trees. Comfortable. The staff is always there for whatever you need. The food is very well prepared, varied and authentic to the region. Delicious. The drinking water could be colder. Our guide Golber taught us...

The owner has similar lodge in the area with about team of 16 guides, the lodge like many others are located 45min by boat from Iquito, all the excursions are within 1 hours from where you stay. This is not your typical "resort" ( is not like Costa Rica's if you know what I mean), from the food to the...

We stayed in the Piranha Lodge for 4 days and 3 nights. It is in the amazon reserve Pacaya Samiria. Our guide Luis was very knowledgeable, not just about the jungle but also about life in Peru or ÿpolitics. He was one of the best guides we have ever had in our years of traveling. The employees always went out of...

I loved staying at this lodge. The guides were wonderful and very knowledgeable. They made the experience memorable filling the day with activities that stay with you. I enjoyed having free time to relax in the hammocks and the food they served was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend this lodge.

We stayed in the Cumaceba Lodge for 4 days and 3 nights. It is about an hour away from Iquitos by boat. We were received with a local drink and we were explained how everything was going to work. Breakfast was at 7:30, lunch at 1:30, and dinner at 7:30, and the food was delicious! They even made special food...

We had 3D/2N program in Cumaceba Lodge and we enjoyed every moment. Lodge is rather rustic, but very suitable for a jungle - it is exotic to be couple of days without hot water and electricity in the bungalow. Would be perfect, if there were a swimming pool, however it is possible to refresh yourself with cold shower or even...

I have gone to Cumaceba 3 times and have been extremely pleased with the experience. The lodging is not luxurious, with no air conditioning and only limited electricity from a generator in the evening (good for charging batteries), but it is certainly adequate. The program of activities is absolutely outstanding, and we have always had good guides. From canoe rides...

My wife and I did the 3day/4night excursion. The over all experience of being in the jungle was very exciting, I would pass on this lodge in the future and goes else where If I where to do it again.. The guide we had was very knowledgable about the surroundings and animals but the lack of service provided by the...

We went to Cumaceba back in November and the experience was absolutely amazing. This was without a doubt the best part of our three month trip through South America. Here's a breakdown of what we liked and what could have been better. Guide and Activities. This was the best part. Our guide, Christian, was easily the best guide we had...

Upon arrival, my husband and I were given a key and pointed in the direction of our room. We had two single beds of differing heights and no shelf, dresser, desk or chair, so we stored our clothing on the floor. On our same tour a single kid was given a room with a double bed, a dresser, table and...

“Ask for a hut as far away from the central dining area if you want it as tranquil as possible”

“I had a room very near the common room -- which actually meant it was further away from the other guest rooms and thus very quiet after the electricity was turned off at 10 pm. People in rooms nearer other guests complained a lot about the noise -- you can hear people talking even at normal volume.”
