Nestled in Castletroy Park, the hotel garners praise for its professional staff and vibrant atmosphere, enriched by live music that, while cozy for many, can occasionally impede a peaceful night's sleep. The dining options and room comfort are highlights, although some visitors suggest that cleanliness and maintenance could be enhanced, notably within leisure facilities and bathrooms.
While opinions on value vary, with some guests considering the pricing fair, others feel improvements are necessary to justify the cost.

Detailed Reviews
We went to the Castletroy Hotel for our wedding anniversary this week and our experience was delightful and we highly recommend.
Covid-19
First things first let’s get the Covid business out of the way, we were a bit nervous initially because of the pandemic and strange times we are Living in, but we needn’t have worried. The hotel management have social distancing well under control in all areas. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the public area are kept very clean with social distancing arrows to help you stay within the health guidelines. the cutlery in the dining areas are individually wrapped. Tables are socially distanced. All staff wear masks. The pool and jacuzzi is open and must be booked in 45 minute time slots (the sauna and steam room have not reopened yet). Your temperature is taken as you arrive to book in so everything from a Covid management standpoint, they could not do anymore.
Covid aside.
Beds are comfy, and clean. Everything you need is in the Spacious room. Hotel on the whole has nice decor and well maintained. The outdoor area is lovely for a quiet drink by the fountain. The food! Wow! The food is so good. Excellent quality. Dinner in the restaurant should not be missed, generous portions and simply excellent presentation and definite compliments to the chef/s. Just delicious!
We had pâté, steak, Asian chicken, lemon curd pavlova and ice cream. We literally could not leave anything behind us, just excellent. Breakfast was also excellent and very high quality.
Staff
A special word of mention to the staff. So professional, one step ahead all the time! Anticipating what you might need and at your side with it before you might ask. From the lady who greeted us as we arrived, to reception, waiting and bar staff and breakfast, all were so highly skilled and well trained it is a credit to whomever manages and trained them. Special mention to Michael in the bar who just made us feel so special and went out of his way to be helpful when he realised I did not drink alcohol, he made mocktails and made the experience very special. Brilliant barman. We also thought Jack was so friendly and very skilled and professional in all our dealings with him. We’d love to mention everyone if only we knew their names as they were all excellent and a firm reason that we would recommend and return.
All in all, a very satisfactory and pleasant night away. Nothing to fault.

Lovely modern hotel where service is second to none.
Breakfast was perfect, buffet style, food refreshed regularly, wasn’t allowed to congeal or dry out. We had booked a premier suite, well worth it, kitchen area was adequately equipped. There is only one downfall this hotel has and it’s the reason for my review title. I challenge the management to find a member of staff who measures 5’3” (same as me) and ask them to sample life as a guest in this hotel.
Within the apartment there is nothing to stand on, but the switch for the heated towel rail is only just reachable on tip toes. (Not a major you think, but it is when I move into room servicing) The crockery is very difficult to remove, I ended up taking each piece out bit by bit as the cupboard is so high. The microwave is dangerous to use as my photos demonstrate.
There are quite a few options for seating in the restaurant areas but all of them resulting in me feeling like a child at the dinner table, the seating was very low and when cutting my food my elbows were horizontal to my shoulders! I managed to find cushions and I observed other people doing the same.
Re: room servicing. It should be noted that the suites are only serviced every 3 days, it costs 20 euros if you wish your room to be serviced. Hence the need to be able to dry your towels. You are encouraged to recycle but there isn’t adequate bins to allow for this, our rubbish soon piled up as there wasn’t a suitable bin in the kitchen.

As a Party of 8 adults away for our 11 year Wedding Anniversary we just spent 2 nights of the August Bank Holiday away in the Castletroy Park Hotel,
We cant complement enough how well this Hotel is run from the moment you arrive to check in the level of Customer Service you receive is excellent and the amount of thought that's been put into running the Hotel as well as keeping everyone's Safety at the top of there priority is exceptional.
The Rooms are beautifully finished to a very high standard and Beds are extremely comfortable.
We had food and drink in the hotel on both evenings in both the the Brasseire Bar and the McLaughlin's Restaurant and the Food and Service was excellent on both occasions, The atmosphere in the hotel was great and the staff were extremely helpful and catered for all our needs from start to finish.
A special mention must be made for Noel and Sarah who both work in the Brasseire Bar section of the Hotel as there level of customer service was second to none and there genuine desire to ensure you where looked after was clear to see by all as no request was to much and they went about there busy work always with a smile on there faces.Well done.
This was our second time to stay at the Castletroy Park Hotel and prior we stayed with children and the stay was also exceptional then, this Hotel caters for all types of breaks away so would be highly recommended and we will definitely be back to stay here again very soon.
Thanks again to all the Staff and Management at the Castleroy Park Hotel for giving us an Anniversary Stay-cation to remember.
Sean.

I have stayed in the Castletroy multiple times due to it’s location and it can be very hit and miss. We got a horrible room this time really uncomfortable beds strings sticking up and over all shabby and dusty. On day two spoke to receptist to see if we could get a more comfortable bed and she offered us a room a few doors down and gave us a key saying go checked the bed... they were as bad. So dropped back down the key and explained they were the same poor mattresses the reception said yeah they are all the same no further help so we gave up and definitely wouldn’t return for the price we paid the least you can expect is a decent mattress and a clean room. All the mattresses definitely are not the same but reception where overall unhelpful. Food in bar is mediocre and floor was so dirty and the staff continued to just walk over the dirt. Stains on pillows on the bed. Completely disappointed for a guaranteed good night sleep in a clean environment stay elsewhere.

I visited this hotel recently to catch up with some friends and we had an fantastic time. We felt that health and safety was a priority at all times. A thermometer was at reception for taking temperatures, tables in the bar and restaurant were well spaced out and the staff made us feel safe at all times. Bar food was excellent, our room was spacious and so comfortable. We ate dinner in the restaurant that night and it was fabulous. Table service was excellent and the delicious cocktails flowed! Will definitely visit again!!

We stayed 2 nights, one night in an apartment suite and one night in a terrace suite, both are fabulously decorated and spacious with air conditioning and both rooms spotless.
There is a beautiful courtyard garden to sit out in, we had dinner in the bar and it was lovely and cooked to perfection. All staff are very friendly and chatty whilst following social distancing guidelines.
Would highly recommend and look forward to coming back!

First time staying away since the pandemic. The Castletroy Hotel was very good in relation to enforcing coins regulations. The hotel is excellently kept and is really a up market hotel. It was never in my radar to stay there before but due to business I had to stay here. In future if I have to stay in Limerick the Castletroy will be my first option. The bedroom were in great condition, TV had a wide variety of channels and the bathrooms were spotless. Breakfast in the morning was very controlled and the servers were courteous.

Stayed at the Castletroy Park Hotel as a last minute getaway and enjoyed it. The staff are very good and the rooms are kept very clean and Tidy. The hotel is well located with walking areas and shops nearby. We ordered room service for dinner when the food arrived no condiments were delivered (possibly due to current precautions) the food was very nice and arrived hot. we preorderd dinner for 8pm and it was delivered dead on 8pm. Breakfast seemed a bit of a mess and disorganised, service seemed slow, of course again this could just be teething issues in the current climate but the staff were brilliant and this facility is always brilliant.

We stayed in the new family suites. Lovely rooms with lots of space but not what I would call a suite. When we boomed we thought it had a separate space but its is just the same as any family room but with a kitchenette.
The staff were lovely, very welcoming and helpful.
More sanitizing stations needed with the times that we are in.
Pool is nice but could do with more sanitizing in these times. Maybe just what we are used to from our own gym (hotel swimming pool) closes for 15 min intervals to sanitize all railings and side of pool in between swims.
Food is good. Not spectacular but good pub grub if you are eating there.
Overall we had a good stay but may e not somewhere I would return to. Just personal choice.

Yes you check in at the main reception and they will issue you with your access card to the suits buildings which are directly across from the enterence of the main hotel reception.
I didn't stay in the terrace suite but I'm presuming all the suites have the same! They supplied robes and slippers! Smart tv is in the room and suites are large I think the terrace suites are the largest of the suites !
Dear UY
Apologies for the delay in responding to you yes our terrace suite has patio furniture consisting of a table and four chairs. You can see on the home page of our website for the suites the furniture in the patio while they are not all like this they are similar.
