Friendly, good priced food and drinks and so lovely that it is pet friendly. Bar furniture could do with a spruce up, menus were very well used and a little gruby which is a little-off putting. Would definitely recommened and would very much like at some point to return.

We stumbled across the Fat Lamb Inn, following a Google search for somewhere for dinner on our trip home to Chorley, Lancashire from Newcastle, and what a fabulous place it was. The food was home cooked, well thought out with a great menu choice plus excellent specials. Lovely old pub with great staff and service. We wish there were more...

First visit after reading other reviews. What a wonderful part of the country to visit. The isolation of the Inn adds to its character. Friendly greeting, lovely bedroon and shower, ate there both nights, all washed down with a few pints of Pennine Blonde. Would imagine a return visit will be on the cards very soon .Thank you very much.

Spent three nights here visiting both lakes and the dales. Very enjoyable with good staff, nice room, if a little cozy, and very good food every evening and for breakfast. Duck breast was the best I have had in a while! The inn is a bit out of town but we liked that and enjoyed the walk round the nature...

This beautiful place in the middle of stunning countryside was a Christmas present from our son and his partner. From entering the building we had a very warm welcome, not only from the roaring fire. But from the lady on the desk. Our room was lovely, clean with beautiful views. The bed was so comfy. Food was excellent. Worth waiting...
