Visited this place on a birthday do . Was shocking , meals were wrong , drinks didn't arrive . Took 3 hours for the meal which was at best average ! . When the bill arrived , they'd tried charging for the meals which were wrong aswell as the ones we actually ordered . Staff not the best !

We dropped in today for a bite to eat on our way home from Bakewell. Waited at the "Wait to be seated" sign, only to be totally ignored by two waitresses! The first one was not busy, she walked towards us and I was ready to speak to her but without a word and rather ignorantly she turned her back...

A nice place to stay, good location, good food, friendly staff . Nice rooms but with one proviso room 2 were we stayed has a noisy smelly fan under the window which would be nasty in the w weather thankfully the noise /smell subsided about 8 30 pm so did not complain, it will not stop us going again.

The place itself was ok. Very busy on arrival so had to wait a bit to check in but gentleman was very nice when he did. Asked if we needed to book a table for the evening and he said no. The room was clean and tidy but only enough coffee for one cup and no sugar at all. Some...

this was a substitute for our 1st choice which wasn't available. Having said that was clean comfortable and quiet. A bit more upmarket than some of the other Marston Houses. Staff were on the whole young but very welcoming and did a good job, A good base for exploring Bakewell, Chatsworth and surrounding Peak district.

Saturday night and the bar closed at 11pm even to staying guests. Our room only had a small electric heater which was inadequate, made our stay a very long cold Saturday night, would never stay here again.
