We needed to stay in Bristol for a night and wanted a clean, quiet and reasonable hotel. The Avon Gorge was all of this plus at a very reasonable additional cost, the breakfast was fantastic. Thoroughly recommended

The Avon Gorge Hotel is in the most spectacular position over looking the Clifton Suspension Bridge. We had a lovely family room, very clean and newly refurbished. All staff we met were super helpful, and the breakfast was delicious. A special thank you to the lovely guy in the bar who reserved us a table to watch the rugby. A...

I have a pretty jaundiced view of UK hotels so I am always prepared for disappointment. I was seduced by the images on the usually accurate and good Booking.com to choose the Avon Gorge hotel for a night away with the good lady wife. The views looked spectacular and the rooms really nice. The view from the excellent breakfast room...

We stayed here for 2 nights for my Daughter's Graduation. It was absolutely wonderful. We had a problem with the shower in one of the rooms but the hotel went to great lengths to try and sort it. Nothing seemed too much trouble and we were made to feel extremely welcome. The food in the Bridge Café was excellent. All...

This hotel is in the lovely area of Clifton, renowned for the suspension bridge, beautiful scenery and independent shops and restaurants. The hotel is very well run - the staff are very friendly and helpful and all areas are nice and clean. We opted for a Gorge view room which cost a little more but came with a private balcony...

A really lovely hotel with great views of the suspension bridge, especially at night when it's all lit up. Just had a meal in the reasturant and I must say it was delicious, the staff are very helpful indeed, a big thanks to Marianna who I must say has a wonderful personality and is so attentive, she even made me...

Friendly and helpful. Clean and tidy, Not spectacular and could be better in view of situation. Would be great in summer with the terrace overlooking the bridge and the sunset which didn't really get because of time of year.

Overnight stay in room 34 which is a bridge view room which has no view of the bridge at all. It does have a lovely balcony but it is impossible to see the bridge from the room although there is a good view of the gorge. The room was fine but impersonal. Nice bathroom but some chips on the tiles...

Thank you for reviewing our hotel Kim F. We appreciate that you were disappointed that your Gorge View room was not facing the bridge. The hotel unfortunately does not directly face the bridge meaning some of our rooms have only a view overlooking the gorge. It is due to this we advertise our rooms as Gorge View and not Bridge...

Thoughly enjoyed our lunch and fabulous service the location is amazing with brilliant views. What I didn't enjoy was waiting 60 minutes for soup!! And pate starters!!!!
