Visiting grandparents who live in Bristol and me, my wife and 1 year old daughter stayed in one of the larger double roomsin this beautiful old building. Wow! It was a huge room with a four poster bed, sofa, basic but tasteful furniture and an excellent bathroom. The reception staff were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Can't see what all...

I have never left a poor review and am not picky but felt other travellers should warned to stay away!! Felt sorry for the staff. Upon entering the reception was grubby which made me nervous. Everything from stairs to doors to paintwork was dirty plus lolled like it hadn't been hoovered in weeks. I wanted to leave immediately but we...

Was here for a birthday celebration in Bristol Jan 2017 . Staff were pleasant and room , though on the small side was clean , tidy and warm . I was only in the room for a quick change , out on the town , back around 1 am and an early departure . Room was cheap in comparison and...

Bad bits, dogs allowed in the hotel and in one case up on the settee in the bar, evening meals are in the bar and with very limited menu.Breakfast was full english with what seemed tinned mushrooms...

Not as run down as some have made out. Very clean. beautiful new fluffy white towels and sheets. full freeview TV with good reception. Bar staff very...

Probably the worst hotel I have stayed in so glad it was only one night. Room very small and dated/worn. Noise from lift was incredible and noisy road outside made for a sleepless night. It would have been nice to have milk for tea making as I had to buy some at the filling station across the road. Kettle had...

Check in straight forward and friendly enough. Room compact and bijou but ok on first sight. On spending more time there a few niggles became evident. Dark as a light bulb missing in one wall light, perhaps to avoid highlighting the palm sized flaking paint on that wall with dodgy plaster exposed, and no overhead light, cobwebs in corner over...

This place seriously needs to be closed down and brought back to its full glory. What a crying shame. What an absolute let down for us! Left the following day completely gutted. Rooms have torn wallpaper, holes left in walls. Curtains coming away from the rails. Worn out furniture. Mixed with antique and 1980s style, Food was just terrible. Very...
