We stayed in one of the studio suites; very spaces and well appointed and clean, someone had obviously given serious thought to the location and position of its facilities during the design and not just what was easiest to install. We ate in the Bistro for our evening meal and breakfast, the quality of the food on both occasions was...

I arrived here on the special offer deal they did in December. Three courses, bed and breakfast for £99 for two people. The food itself was lovely. There was a set menu which choices on it. I thought the choices were a bit bland for the food you can usually eat here so I was still a little disappointed. The...

We stayed in this hotel for one night over Christmas. The room was a standard room and was beautiful. The bathroom was amazing and the bed was big and comfy. We had a drink at the bar and had exceptional service from Andy and Mauri behind the bar. They were brilliant fun and made us feel very welcome. Would definitely...

Had the delight of staying in this hotel recently. Fantastic room, Laroche, and great room facilities. Super sized bed roll top bath and monsoon shower, what more could you ask for. All that's needed is a bottle of bubble bath. Managed to get a booking for the restaurant and the food was excellent along with the drinks. Quality mixologist and...

Lovely hotel, with a inviting entrance and cosy bar area. The room (Suite) was huge, big bed with tables and a sofa. The bathroom was stunning, with a walk in double shower and a stand alone roll top bath. We didn't eat in the evening at the hotel, as we had pre arranged a meal elsewhere, but it did look...

2016 had proven to be an eventful year, and it was decided that we would do something different for Christmas this year. So we booked a dinner for Boxing Day at 1pm for the Hotel du Vin. Things started promisingly, as we were welcomed into the bar area and ordered some drinks. However when we then approached the dining room...

I usually choose to have my birthday meal here with my family as the food is so good, the service so charming and the atmosphere so sublime. This has been going on for years. This year was no exception, but the waiters outshone themselves. My mother had her car on the metre and had to leave so I asked if...

We have enjoyed stays at the Winchester and Brighton hotels but this was the first time at the Bristol HdV. It wasn't up to the same standard and although I can recommend the restaurant I would avoid booking a room here again. There should really be a warning to potential customers about how smoke-filled the courtyard rooms can get. Our...

A very comfortable room with one of the best showers I can remember. Amazon style. Only problem was the noise from the Courtyard below- that was a real pain. 11 pm curfew needs to be better enforced by the Management.Delicious Breakfast. Good Bar area.

Our table was booked for 7.45 but they could not seat us until 8.15 and finally we ate at 9pm. Not the best start to the evening. From then on things improved, food was as good as ever,if not a little more expensive than I remembered. Shame we had to rush the end of our meal to get our taxi....
