After 30 years, as old school friends we thought we would catch up at the Hotel du Vin hoping to find somewhere quiet to talk. The service was polite and efficient if a little nervous. There were a couple of dropped glasses and trays in the dining room, to add to the excitement! The food was excellent, and we were...

To sum up, don't bother. Very uninspiring couple of brioche, pin whirl, and tartlet, served on dark dreary plates, looked dull, tasted dull. Brioche was barely filled with egg. Tea and coffee was served, and then we had an hour and half wait until we prompted them to bring the next course. Very slow service, not attentive at all, at...

This is a great hotel. Quirky and well furnished rooms with opulent bathrooms. One of the best breakfast spreads I have seen at any hotel. The rooms however can suffer from excessive outside noise - my colleagues regularly stay at the hotel and have said the same. I am not sure why this should be as it does not seem...

We stayed for two nights, a Saturday and Sunday. Not our first visit to this hotel but we thought we'd return as it is difficult to find a hotel in Bristol on Saturday night with a quiet room (we've done the rounds). We requested a quiet room and this was all fine - the room had triple glazing and overlooked...

Great hotel, location, comfy, etc, etc...all the usual stuff, but you should try the hotel when the night staff are on...another dimension...fantastic and nothing is too much trouble, home from home, especially Peter who made the stay just perfect...nothing was too much trouble and it's almost nicer staying up in the wee small hours to see the hotel in a...

We decided to stay at Hotel du Vin Bristol as we had never stayed in one before and had heard lots about them. The layout of our two rooms was good and the bathrooms were spacious and comfortable. Not having visited Bristol before I did not realise that we should have requested rooms at the back of the hotel, despite...

We stayed at Hotel Du Vin for the first night of our honeymoon - mainly to treat ourselves but also because of its city centre location and proximity to the bus station for our onward departure to the airport! We absolutely could not have asked for more - the service was wonderful, the room luxurious and the food incredible. We...

Love the hotel and staff. Dinner was really good and the sommelier helped as choose a bottle of wine which was a perfect choice. We had a lovely room with balcony on to the courtyard though couldn't open doors due to smokers underneath which was a shame. After a brilliant breakfasts with lots of choice a lovely member of staff...

We've just come back from a very pleasant two night stay at this lovely hotel. Location was great as it was minutes from the harbourside, Cabot Circus and Colston Hall. The room was lovely and the staff were all very helpful. The highlight of the stay for us was the food - sooooo good! I can highly recommend the bed...

As well as being a great hotel and restaurant it's a great place to visit for just a drink or snack! Good selection of hot drinks and a very good range of wines by the glass. Well located, parking outside (pay and display).
