If you are looking for accommodation in Aylesbury that offers quality, large rooms, cleanliness, friendly helpful staff then do not hesitate to book here. We would like to say thank you to the duty manager Les, he genuinely made us feel very welcome and nothing was ever too much trouble. We were only going to stay 1 night but we... More

The hotel had a lovely pool, though on the small side, it was ideal for swimming a couple of lengths, for the kids to practise their hand stands and just have a splash about. We enjoyed a relaxing soak in the jacuzzi before we headed out for an evening meal in one of the many local pubs. They do have... More

Pity that 5 minutes late we can't be served for a lunch (but typically british always) This hotel seems for me typically british. Old fashion and a conservatisme everywhere in the hotel. I appreciate this kind of hotel.

We arrived about 7ish on a Saturday evening and were given 2 free drinks viuchers for the delay booking in whilst the receptionist sorted a family out. Personally we didn't think it was much of a wait. Our room was spacious. After leaving our items in the room, we went down to have dinner. We were told the kitchen was... More

A comfortable room and bed. Let down by the lack of heating and information on meal times, to channels etc. The staff are wonderful, nothing was too much trouble and made up for the short comings of the hotel.

I am familiar with this hotel which is usually very pleasant, but this time the heating was playing up, and everywhere except reception had the airconditioning on instead of the central heating. Mr room was so cold I had to sleep in my dressing gown. Surely it would have been better to switch off the airconditioning altogether? At the very... More

Came here for my father's 60th for a family meal. I asked if we could move our table until the air con which they were happy to do. Catered to our every request and the food was amazing. We really enjoyed our evening

The hotel had a few problems while we were there. The bedroom was cold owing to the heating not working and the air conditioning being on. This also applied to the dining room where a few guests had to wear coats whilst dining. The problem we were told had been going on for a couple of days. We also had a long... More

Pleasantly surprised with the HI Aylesbury as some of the recent reviews have been less than enthusiastic. I'd echo those comments about front of house staff - I was left standing at check-in for a few minutes without so much as a smile, but once I was in my room all was good. Room was a decent size, very clean... More
