Looked fairly appealing from the outside, but things soon went downhill indoors! Shown to a very dated single room with furniture, bed & facilities straight out of the 80's. Window in room didn't shut & traffic noise all night made for poor sleep. When I did get some kip, I was awoken by the electric shower from the neighbouring room.... More

The problems with Cambridge is that it is bursting at the seams, students, parents and visitors and no parking worth talking about.. The lens field is a lovely quirky hotel that is mid way between a lovely old fashioned band b complete with slightly idiosyncratic curtains and bed covers but really friendly welcoming staff.its quiet and cosy and the only problem... Lovely little hotel, easy walking distance for town and all local bars and restaurants. Big comfy beds in spacious rooms. Breakfast was fantastic, best hotel breakfast I've had. Only downside was the parking they advertise, they only have 4 spaces! Parking in nearby streets is £2 an 7 days a week. All in all, would recommend

Booked into what we thought was a hotel... We got given the keys to a house next door?!?!.... Apparently it was an executive suite???? ... It was a ground floor apartment ... Very spacious with its own kitchen and living room but not the hotel room we booked... In the morning we had to walk from the house to the... More

Visiting Cambridge with elderly, not very mobile parent, for family wedding. Pre organized my parking with staff. Used disabled lift to access, lower room, with great access to breakfast room. Disabled Lift a little unreliable, however friendly staff were always on hand to help. Breakfasts were good, and plenty to eat. Found staff to be very accommodating and friendly. Be... More

NO LIFT IN THIS HOTEL and it has steep winding stairs, not suitable at all anyone with even moderately heavy cases or health problems !! The reception staff were indifferent to the guests needs and the breakfast was merely average. Levels of cleanliness not great. The only good thing about this place was its closeness to the centre of town.... More

Top notch customer service from beginning to end on my 3 day stay Breakfast was delicious and filling Excellent. Would strongly recommends his hotel. Location was excellent! Room is smallish since building is older but fine for sleeping. Shower was spacious and excellent with an abundance of hot water. Spent two nights at this hotel. Had an altercation on arrival over Parking with the Manageress and a very rude arrogant girl member of hotel staff. There are 5 spaces in front of the hotel. As we reversed into an empty car park space the girl put a metal chair behind our car to halt us and shouted that she... More

I stayed for 2 nights. My room was spotless. I had lots of towels, toiletries, slippers, tea, coffee, biscuits etc. The spa was amazing. Natasha was very professional and I would highly recommend her. Theoni was also lovely. Sylvia and Fernando were super in helping me save a sentimental item and Soulla was very kind. Lovely staff who made me... More

I found the room very narrow as it was fully occupied by the 4 beds. Beds were not really goods and bathroom was not clean. Breakfast was average, nothing really amazing. 150GBP for this is expensive even for Cambridge. I will not recommend at all.
