*Friendly and helpful service *5 min walk to the Fitzwilliam Museum and city center attractions (very big bonus, since there is scant parking in Cambridge) *Clean and manageable *Hot Numbers cafe is across the street with good espresso and counter foods *Decor in poor taste (if not odd) and slightly run down bath facilities *Mattress is basic *Rooms are stuffy...

This hotel is in a good location in Cambridge, easy to get around. There is a lovely welcome from the reception staff and check in is easy. The rooms are spotless - nicely furnished, everything you need, comfortable bed and the bathroom is also spotless. Air conditioning very efficient. A lovely breakfast buffet with plenty of choice - fruit, cereal,...

I stayed one night at the Lensfield in a cosy, immaculately clean single room on the 1st floor. The staff were welcoming and efficient, and the hotel is extremely convenient for all the colleges, museums and sights of the city. I was even lucky enough to to arrive in time to have one of the 5 parking spaces outside! When...

Been meaning to write this for ages - this was our first visit to the Lensfield. It was Valentines Saturday and we had a fantastic time. This has charm that you do not get at a big chain hotel. It is small, chinzy in a adorable Cambridge way (and i live here in Cambridge!), location is superb. You are showed...

I was in Cambridge for three days and stayed for two nights. A friendly greeting at Reception when I arrived and personal service..I was shown to my room rather than just told where it was. The room was very comfortable and spacious and the free wi-fi was very good. There was a very good choice of food for breakfast and...

We stayed for one night 30th may , pleasantly surprised to be able to book in early and to get a car park space, the lady on reception was helpful and welcoming. The room on the ground floor was large and had character, the bathroom although small and in need of a bit of TLC was functional and plenty of...

I stayed in the hotel on my own. I was given a twin room which was up two flights of stairs. No lift. The receptionist kindly carried my suitcase up for me. The hotel was very clean although tired. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was buffet including full cooked breakfast, fruit, pastries yogurts etc. It was very nice. However,...

I stayed at this hotel over the bank holiday weekend and will not be rushing back.nThe staff at this hotel urgently need customer care training. Aside from one member of staff they are frankly rude and unhelpful.

I booked 10am on a Saturday for the evening. The room was big enough and the bed good. That is enough for a basic deal. Downsides were the ceiling lights and bathroom. There was hot water on Saturday night but not Sunday morning. Holes in ceiling where spotlights once were, now light bulbs. The obvious advantage and upside is that...
