Four adults enjoyed a family lunch at Oddfellows recently, our first visit. The staff are efficient, smiling, focussed and hard working. The hotel is well managed and organised. The restaurant was busy serving both lunches and afternoon tea but the staff coped well. Food and drinks were much enjoyed: good choice of drinks while the food was of a high...

I thought it was very over priced for what you got, I had afternoon tea with fizz but there was only a small amount of sandwiches. The cakes where lovely especially the scones. It is a nice place but I wouldn't go back for afternoon tea, they have better offers on the other and drinks.

Have used a few times for senior team meetings. It's really quirky with an Alice in Wonderland room with stuff on the ceiling etc. Nice bar, and garden area out the back. Food is good and nicely served. Slightly fiddly food but good quality. Wine list reasonable.

Lovely surroundings and pleasant atmosphere. We went for afternoon tea...8 of us in total. What we had was lovely but just not enough...4 finger sandwiches, a scone and 2 petit fours and a glass of fizz £25!! The desserts weren't equal either, so you had to negotiate with the rest of the group for what you had. When you go...

A really interesting building. A shame that no written history was available - I think that would be a great asset. Very helpful staff. Shame also that the only twin-bedded room was up on the top floor, with lots of stairs to climb! Nonetheless, an enjoyable stay. Thanks.

This is a charming hotel in the centre of Chester just minutes away from all the shops and restaurants. We stayed here on a Monday night for my partners birthday and also had afternoon tea. The afternoon tea was beautiful, lovely restaurant area. Waiters were lovely and attentive. Food was delicious. Very reasonably priced too. We stayed in "the newbrook"...

This hotel bar is a great place to meet friends and have a drink before going for dinner. Its very quirky place when see how it is decorated, but i think this adds to the atmosphere of the bar. It gets very busy on weekends as it a popular place to drink in Chester.

We enjoyed our stay here but there were a few problems. Before booking I checked if 2 of the beds would be made up as singles for our children ( boy & girl teens, don't want to sleep in same bed ), I was told yes when I phoned, when I booked I commented about the same thing, when I...

Enormous and beautiful self catering apartment with free parking in the very centre of Chester. Quirky but tastefully decorated, clean and very well equipped. Bathroom a bit cool but plenty of hot water. What a find!

As a hotel, bar and restaurant, Oddfellows brings a fresh and unique experience to Chester. The 18 exclusive boutique bedrooms each have their own charm and combination of iconic and contemporary furnishings. The design of the bedrooms is inspired by architect John Douglas who designed Chester’s landmark Eastgate Clock, cinematographer Peter Newbrook who brought the Oscar-winning Lawrence of Arabia to life, and the illustrator Randolph Caldecott whose humorous images were simply irresistible. Complete with The Garden by Simon Radley -our Mediterranean-inspired restaurant - and The Secret Garden - a unique indoors/outdoors oasis; Oddfellows provides the ideal escape... ... more   less
