10 minutes walk to the train station and town, very close to local shops, pubs and eateries. A lovely landlady and made to feel very welcome.

We were greeted very nicely by Marina, who showed us round and made us a very welcome cup of tea with scones (very much needed) and we had a excellent and very peaceful night. Just wished our stay there could have been longer , but are already looking forward to returning Pete, Alison and Emma

We chose this lovely guest house based on all the previous reviews. We were not disappointed! We felt really at home from the minute we arrived, as we were warmly welcomed and treated to a lovely cup of tea and home made scones, till we left three days later. Our room, although small, was very comfortable and full of little... More

I spent a few days at this guest house and unreservedly enjoyed my time there. Tthe owners were most helpful and provided a most guest-friendly service and not just in practical terms. It is a small guest house providing a comfortable, even intimate environment .I visit Chester once or twice a year and I shall have no hesitation to use... More

We stayed at Holly Cottage, an annex of Holly House, situated in a lovely courtyard. The rooms were very clean and cosy and we enjoyed an excellent afternoon tea on arrival. Breakfast was also excellent and there was an extensive menu. Holly House is within walking distance of the city centre and railway station and a few minutes from the... More

After a long journey, what a wonderful welcome - a tea tray with the yummiest home made cherry scone! . We stayed in the annex rooms where there were three single beds. Cosy but very comfortable and within walking distance of a few pubs and restaurants. Also close to the very pretty town of Chester. Our hostess was charming and... More

My husband, sister and I had planned to spend just one night in Chester and Holly House provided the perfect place for us to stay. It was easy to find, a comfortable walk from the centre of Chester, quiet and extremely comfortable. What suited us most was the Cottage in the garden, where we had a two-bedroom suite with ensuite... More

Marina was very helpful from arrival to going home. Breakfast was top class all fresh from the local butchers and it filled us up till tea time!... More
