My sister and I went here for our lunch, the food was good value and service very quick, a nice bar, and outside seating area, we both had the Chilli from the two meals for 9.50 deal, I had a gin fizz double and my sister had a gin and fresh orange juice double. £17 in total excellent value.

Booked this to stay in Chester for my partner's birthday. First impressions were good. Good location in Chester. Room was small but clean and modern although the view was a brick wall so not appealing. Went down to the restaurant to eat. My order had been incorrectly entered into the till so was returned and my partner's food was also...

Thank you for your feed back. We are sorry to hear about the issues you had with your stay, unfortunately the hotel is located above a pub and because of this get regular deliveries. We do have measures in place so that deliveries don't turn up early and stay within UK noise laws. In regards to your experience dining with...

As a family of four we visited the new wetherspoons for a meal, my wife went to the bar with my 17 year old daughter whilst me and my 20 year old disabled son sat at a table, my wife came back and said she had been refused a drink as children were not allowed in after 7 p.m. (it...

Thank you for your feed back. Our licensing times are set by Cheshire West and Chester council and any breach of these is against licensing law, whether it was 7.01 or 11pm, anybody under the age of 18 isn't allowed in the pub after 7pm. The server that told you this was just doing their job correctly. Along side this,...

On a rainy cold day in Chester where else can you go but to a Wetherspoons? Very roomy pub that also doubles as a hotel. As usual with Wetherspoons pubs, we found the service good, cost of beers cheap and the staff friendly. Big pub with various little cubbyholes where you can sit, but a 6 o'clock on a Saturday...

I used to live in Chester, and visited the Bull and Stirrup often before it became a Weatherspoons. I am impressed with the refurbishment, especially the addition of the building at the back, making full use of the area available. The decor on the walls is local art or about the local area. The tables and seating are flexible, so...

Stayed here 2 nights 11th & 12th April. Lovely room a little on the small side and could have done without the many very noisy extractor fans outside our window. We enjoyed our stay the staff were very friendly and helpful and like all Wetherspoons staff work very hard. Would we stay again most definitely but would ask for a...

First time here with family and friends. I am very dissappointed with the service of the rude manager and then my friend was made to feel very isolated in the smoking area after sitting on outdoor sofa then being told to move. she moved to be under a tree where she was told to move from also. Felt uncomfortable and...

We stayed at the Bull and Stirrup Sunday night. The rooms are all delightfully refurbished , spotlessly clean and comfortable. The hotel is close to the centre of Chester and a cheap car park almost next door. The staff too were very helpful and efficient. I left my mobile at the hotel and they posted it back to my home....
