I stayed in this B&B for a few days to have some quiet thinking time. It was a lovely room, good breakfast and very helpful owners. In the middle of the country side you do need a car really but there are some lovely walks in the area.

We received the warmest of welcomes by Pauline at Higher Huxley Hall, which is outside of Chester near the village of Huxley, which was a surprise and a bit challenging to find since the address just says "Chester." The Cheshire countryside is quiet and lovely, as is this B&B. Furnished in classic English style, our rooms were comfortable and homey...

We arrived slightly after the preferred check-in time after travelling straight from work and were met with a warm welcome which immediately made us feel at home. We were shown up the amazing wooden staircases to our top floor room which was stunning and features many original beams and was of a very good size with en suite facilities and...

We have just had a lovely weekend in this fantastic character property. Pleasant hosts, good spec room with a decent TV and a decent breakfast. Just lovely with no issues or concerns. The gardens are a feature and there is a pool (although we didnt use it)

We Stayed here for 2 nights a few weeks ago while on a weekend trip to Chester and felt looked after as soon as we arrived. The place itself was full of history and character and the room was very clean and everything had been thought of (even down to home-made shortbread in the room)! Breakfast was lovely and nice...

Stayed here just overnight whilst visiting family. Everything immaculate and spotless and would highly recommend anyone to stay. The house is full of character and history and would have loved to have been able to have an evening meal there. The excellent homemade shortbread in the bedroom was a nice touch.

We stayed here recently whilst visiting Carfest in Tarporley. The hosts were very kind and helpful - the breakfasts good and very clean throughout. Bedroom lovely. Beds very comfortable. Only drawback was the beams (as pointed out on Tripadvisor by another customer are so low my hubby kept banging his head!) and wouldnt say the hotel is particularly aimed at...

The hotel is in keeping with its magnificent rural setting. The staircase is made from timbers salvaged from the Spanish Armada fleet. Our room at the top of the house was perfect with views over the surrounding countryside and low beams giving the room added character. Our host Pauline was very helpful with directions and suggestions on where to go...
