This is badged as a Mercure but is clearly still a Ramada. Nothing about the experience meets my expectations as a Platinum Accor member - poor, hot, unairconditioned rooms, 1970s plumbing, staff afraid to address customer needs. Gave up on breakfast after 10+ minute wait. When I tried to check out was charged for non-existent dinner and spent an hour...

Stayed here for a night and got upgraded to a suite. The rooms were modern and very comfortable with the largest, most comfortable bed I have every slept in. The ease of booking in was great and all of the staff were very friendly and helpful and looked like they were enjoying their work. Breakfast was buffet style and very...

Initial opinion was that the hotel was more suited to the commercial sector to cater for the travelling salesman or business man, than for friends to meet and reminisce. Menu choice was not extensive to remain within the allowance given on the board and meals tariff. House wine was expensive and poor selection. First night meals were very disappointing however...

Stayed here with my boyfriend for our anniversary we had a classic double room and was a bit thrown back on the quality of the rooms, the walls must of been paper thin we could hear every single word the people next door were saying as well as their music! Mattress was rock solid but you couldn't fault with how...

We stayed for two nights. First night our room was a bit noisy as was near air con. The staff moved us right away. All through the visit staff couldn't have been nicer. Good evening meal and breakfast was ok too. Again all staff were helpful and polite. Thank you all

A group of 7 of us stayed at the hotel over the weekend. The rooms were modern and up to date and very clean and tidy. The public areas are spacious and the staff were all very pleasant. All the rooms were quiet. There is adequate and secure free parking. We had our evening meal in the dining room but...

Firstly, I have never felt the need to write a poor review such as this ever. Where do I start? Received this as a Virgin Experience voucher gift and booked to stay on 18th March. On arrival I was disappointed to see that the reception entrance was the only part of the pictures I had viewed was accurate. Beyond d...

We stayed here for two nights over the Easter bank holiday. From arrival the staff were lovely and friendly and couldn't do enough to help. We were upgraded to a bigger room which was spacious and clean. We had breakfast both days as well as a bar meal and an evening meal in the brasserie. All food we had was...

The NCCC spent the 2017 Easter weekend having our 122nd Easter meet, in Chester and based in this hotel. We had a wonderful time with a buffet meal on Saturday evening and a formal dinner on Sunday evening. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was excellent and the weekend was much enjoyed. This was the 9th time...
