I feel bad writing a poor review as the actual hotel is lovely and our room was nice (the executive suite room 16 with the blue white and silver theme sorry didn't take any pics but I can see others have on here) but for £93 a night the noise from the drunks outside was so loud it was impossible...

Great place to stay right in the centre of Chester with everything on your doorstep. The rooms were out of this world especially the premier room. Excellent food and a great place for beer lovers as had its own micro brewery. The staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Highly recommended.

Nothing much I can say except you have to visit - it's a pub (that's obvious) it does really good homemade food (ok so that's not normal but not unusual) but it's also a brewery now that is fantastic - if your in Chester you have to visit this place (and try the pie!)

This pub/hotel is way overpriced, noisy, the staff are not particularly helpful, the bar is lit like a floodlit football pitch, food terrible, tables sticky and the rooms not as depicted on the website! However, the position in the city is very good. Would not stay here again! This should be a charming 15th Century inn, but the shower room...

As we were in a historic city we wanted to eat in a historic pub. You can't get much more historic than one nearly 500 years old with two resident ghosts!! We had a great lunch, I had a jacket potato with cheese and beans and my husband had a club sandwich on bloomer bread. Both meals came with salad...

Did not get chance to eat, we sat down, saw the bar was 2 deep, 15 people waiting and 1 girl behind the bar. Got up and left, shame food looked great and nice atmosphere and a nice location dead in the center.

There were 6 of us hungry and ready for Sunday lunch. We asked to move tables as the original one was very close to doorway. The place is a small wooden floored building in a great location in Chester. As we were handed the menus we told what we could and couldn't have (maybe would have been better to print...

Stayed here for one night in room 9 which was an unexpected upgrade which was a nice touch. The room is lovely, very big and spotlessly clean and bed very comfy. This is one of the haunted rooms but we didn't see anything! We ate an evening meal here and the food was very nice as was the breakfast. All...

Stayed 2 nights and we used 2 twin rooms and a four poster room. When we checked in around 22:30, there was a party going on at the pub down stairs. Music was loud, people were noisy but our rooms were back of the building so we couldn't hear the nose from our rooms.Rooms were nice and clean. People were...
