What a delight! We had a wonderful festive afternoon tea with the most delicious sweet and savoury treats. Nothing was too much trouble so thank you for accommodating our requests so happily. Such a gorgeous setting too. We can’t wait to return. Merry Christmas!

My husband and I had a voucher given to us as a thank you for a one night stay at the Edgar House Hotel. This hotel is beautiful, situated within walking distance of the center of Chester and overlooking the river. The rooms are beautifully decorated, modern, elegant and very comfortable. The beds are comfortable and large. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The bar in the lobby is unique and well stocked with a good selection of wines and spirits, this becomes an honesty bar by evening. Breakfast was absolutely delicious cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. Needless to say, we will be staying again. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAA******************

We got married during covid and weren't clear we'd be allowed to go anywhere afterwards and so, despite living in Chester, decided to have a little two night mini moon here. We're ever so glad we did. It's only a little hotel but very nicely done. I don't think we had a river view room per se, but there was a little patio just outside overlooking the river. Very comfortable and quiet. I don't believe their restaurant was operating at the time, although we had breakfast there and that was very good. As indeed was room service breakfast. It's a bit detached from the city centre whilst being very close ; the front door leads directly onto the walls. For somewhere within the city walls where space is at a premium it has generous and easy parking right outside; you access it off Duke St. All the staff we dealt with were ever so helpful and welcoming. Would definitely recommend it.

Dear Rob Thank you ever so much for your review and of course for yours and Brid's stay with us. We're delighted that you had a great time and a mini-moon Perhaps we can welcome you back again when things have settled down Many thanks again, and best wishes to you both, Mike [PS yours was the Garden Terrace Deluxe room which regrettably doesn't have a river view. Please try the room above on your next visit - the Riverview Balcony Deluxe. Quite something if we say so ourselves :) ]
