Stayed 2 nights having booked a double room in the original mill building, but we were put in the inferior newer 90s wing. Adjacent to the busy road. Hot, stifling, noisy and claustraphobic hotel. Bland conveyor belt buffet breakfast in a dark, airless restaurant where you are packed in like sardines. Service is very mixed - cleaning staff were very...

Stayed here for two nights in a Premier/Club room overlooking the canal - I had read previous reviews re the standard rooms so decided to splash out. The room was large and bed was comfortable although the bed could have been bigger. The best things were the spa bath and balcony. A small negative was the very cheap toilet paper!...

Stayed here for one night in a Club room overlooking the canal – very nice. Hotel parking is free to guests and the hotel location is excellent. A (very) short walk down the canal tow path to the city centre; there was even a canal side pub en route. The room was large, quiet and well decorated with a comfy...

Low ceilings make this former mill feel a bit claustrophobic and perhaps that explains why it is so hot too. Bed a little soft for our liking however rooms very clean. Breakfast good and helpful staff offered to cook veggies sausages and mushrooms for me. Small number of space in front of the hotel for parking, then a barrier car...

Stayed two nights 16th & 17th Aug, booked three rooms, had room at the rear of hotel which is adjacent to a main carriageway through Chester. The room was reasonable standard, but the air condiitioning unit in the room was old and produced an unacceptable amount of background noise. The road noise level was well above an acceptable volume for...

we stayed for one night midweek as a break. The entrance is not very attractive nor is the reception area, However the staff on reception were very helpful. The room was average but fine just for one night. It is ideally located for town and for walks along the canal. We booked for our evening meal on the canal cruiser....

We stayed here for one night, 11th August. Every member of staff we came across, from our arrival at reception to the staff in the bar and the restaurant were professional, attentive and very friendly. Our room was large and spotless and had everything we needed for our stay. The hotel has a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere and nothing...

We stayed here for two nights and really enjoyed it. The bar was very good and the prices were reasonable and a good atmosphere. The evening meal was lovely and the staff were friendly. The rooms are very nice but far too hot, the windows only opened about 2" and no air conditioning totally ruined our night's sleep. The recycling...
