I travelled with my partner and stayed here for one night. The hotel itself has free on site parking and is only a 10 minute walk into Chester. Our room was in the annexe over the bridge and facing the canal which was lovely, very quiet. The hotel has good facilities and the health club and pool were a welcome...

We booked this hotel very much on spec as a last minute stop over in Chester. It is situated right on the canal side in fact both sides of the canal with an adjoining internal bridge. The reception, restaurant and some rooms are one side and the gym, pool and spa along with more rooms on the other side. I...

Stayed 2 nights on Business in Jul 13. Great Hotel and Location. However, desperately needs aircon or some fan ventilation system as rooms and restaurant area too warm. I imagine rooms have been even worse with current heatwave. Great real ale selection and reasonably priced.

We had a one night stay at this hotel and was given room number 231 and was not told that this is right next to a very busy highway We spent a very restless night with the sound of traffic Also when we had dinner the first night was greeted by one of the waiters who completely smelled of tobacco...

We had a two night stay here in July. The hotel is very central and on the canal. Our room was very clean and good size. We did take a while to work the television. We ate in the bar on our first night and the food was good. The second night we went on the evening Barge trip and...

The location is ideal as there is free parking and yet it is only about a 10 minute walk to the Cathedral. Very good food in the restaurant and excellent service. It is a big hotel and we were in the "Annex" which meant that we had to walk over the bridge - except when visiting the Spa. Our room...

I stayed with a party of friends for the weekend. The hotel overall is too a very high standard, the staff in the hotel are very pleasant and helpful. The rooms are very clean and nicely layed out. Great location to explore the city. Food was tasty and good valve for money. The real ale bar has a good selection...

Just back from a 3 night stay in the hotel which we thoroughly enjoyed. We found the staff extremely courteous and helpful whether it be at the reception, the bar or in the restaurant. However, a special mention to the staff aboard the hotel's canal cruiser which we dined on one evening as the food and service were excellent. We...

We stayed here for 2 days while catching up with friends. The hotel was clean but basic and we had everything we needed. The staff were friendly and welcoming but the check in procedure was a bit automated (maybe the receptionist had had a busy day) We didn't make use of the leisure facilities on offer on this visit Our...

Stayed for two nights last week on business. Have not been for a while but was pleasantly surprised to find Chester city centre and the famous 'Rows' of shops. The car parking is still 'iffy' but least there is more. However, it would be better if the hotel could have the car park across the road resurfaced to avoid puddles...
