Our first visit to Falmouth, and we loved it. The hotel is situated on the sea front and is in a really good location for getting around Falmouth, visiting the Maritime Museum, docks, shops, castle, coastal walks etc. We were made very welcome at the hotel, and during our stay nothing was too much trouble for the polite and obliging...

A long weekend away and what a delightful family run hotel - nothing was to much trouble and the standard of service was excellent. We ate in the elegant dining room on both nights and the quality was very good indeed on both nights. A small (ish) bedroom but with quality bedding and fittings plus a decent bathroom. The hotels...

We have stayed at The Royal Duchy many times and always enjoyed good service, good food and lovely surroundings. On this occasion we were staying in a cottage and decided to go to The Royal Duchy for afternoon tea. We were told at reception that they were working on the restaurant so that had been set up in the Terrace...

Everything superlative! Location, the building appearance, the condition of the building inside and outside (some building work underway) the staff, the food ( dinner and breakfast). Couldn't have asked for a better overnight stay. Have been before and I think it gets better.

Stayed for a couple of nights when visiting family. Hotel is located overlooking the bay and beaches of Falmouth and with views of the Castle perched on a hilltop nearby. Hotel within walking distance of beaches, Pendennis Point and Castle as well as the docks, and town centre. The hotel has well maintained gardens and public rooms and although over...

By far the worst of the usually excellent Brend hotels which I usually love to stay in. The rooms are generally well appointed, and mostly clean - although the shower head had so much mould growing in it that only ~5% of the jets were working and you have to run around to get wet. The public areas of the...

This is the second time that we have visited this hotel and attended with family! The staff couldn't be more helpful and accommodating and nothing was ever to much trouble. We attended for NYE and stayed for three nights. The room was to a high standard, cosy and clean. Tea and coffee were in the rooms and there was a...

A fantastic spa day today! Beautiful facilities that were checked throughout the day by attentive and cheerful staff. Beauty therapist Michelle organised my day for maximum relaxation, ensured that I had everything I needed and the facial and back massage were brilliant! A thoroughly lovely day- many thanks!

The hotel and staff were very good overall. However, more heat would have been nice in the conservatory area where lunch and pre-dinner drinks are taken. Dinner on our first evening was excellent but the second evening was terrible - it was like Masterchef on speed!! Why do chefs have to mess about with food so much they spoil it?
