Sadly the food wasn't quite up to scratch for us, which was a shame as the location was lovely and the staff were nice and friendly. Ordered the halloumi burger and found the mushrooms and peppers cold/warmed up. We all agreed that the chips were a let down and the coleslaw tasted like Morrisons basic range (not homemade). I'm not...

Good pub, great position overlooking the harbour, nice food and good beer from St Austell Brewery - we popped in a few times during our stay, always welcoming and friendly. Would definitely go back and visit!

we come to this part of Cornwalll (Penzance area) at least once a year and try to get into the Ship.. the food is very high quality and very tasty. I had the quiche with new potatoes and swapped the peas for mixed veg.... very good indeed! I would recomend it!

Been coming here for a few years, the staff are friendly and the food is excellent. There's a good atmosphere and a small roof top garden. They welcome dogs - brilliant! Not suitable for everyone as toilets are up steep flight of steps.

Right on the harbour front, the top floor room (No.9) is a lovely room with a good view of the harbour and the seas. There is a nice old style furnished bar rooms and a quiet restaurant room. No traffic noise late at night or early morning. Parking in public car parks was always available in March.

The hotel was under renovation so the view from our room was hindered with the netting. Had no internet for both days of our stay. We were told that it will be fixed the next day but it was not so. The food was supposed to be locally fresh seafood but the fish dish my wife had smelled, must have...

We called in yesterday and were made very welcome by the bar staff when we explained we were celebrating a birthday lunch with no booking but did not want traditional Sunday Lunch. We also had a small baby and decided to come back in an hour once the appetite had kicked in and the service by Neave and Joy (...

This is the best by far pub in Porthleven to stop off for a drink with a gorgeous view of the harbour and sea, a great place that is loaded with atmosphere and is usually always busy lots of seating area outside for when the weather is good.
