Thank God we stayed only one night. Outdated throughout, rusty pipes, dirty towels and not washed duvets!!! Nice view but spoiled by dirty windows(seagull poo)! English breakfast was a downfall as well. One positive thing was a nice owner.....but don't recommend.

We stayed for one night only, because we were attending an event in Newquay. Elliot was an incredibly welcoming host, very knowledgeable about the area. Our room was a good size, with comfy beds and clean linen. The bathroom was a little run down, but clean. Breakfast is included, and the full English was tasty and a good size portion....

It is a cheap hotel if you comparing with other hotels in the area, however I wouldn't say £70 a night is a super cheap hotel. The hotel was old and run down with a few antique items in it. The shower had a lot of mould in it. Car parking is a big problem, the breakfast is not very...

We stayed for a 3-night surf and explore break in Cornwall. We paid about £70 a night in mid-August (high season) which I think is amazing in 2015 and the main reason for the 4-star grade. Breakfast was quite basic, like my husband said the sausages were really cheap (I had the veggie breakfast and this was fine). It has...

Four of us stayed at the Avondale over the bank holiday weekend in 2 rooms (#3 and #7). To summarise our stay: Excellent central location. Clean rooms with comfy beds. Free WiFi. Free parking. There's a charming dining room which we had our lovely breakfast in. Elliot is the perfect host and makes you feel very welcome. Overall we all...

This B&B has seen better days it is very run down however this is reflected in the price - it was very cheap compared to anything else I looked at. The owner was very pleasant and chatty. The breakfast was fine albeit no choice given (it was a full English). Parking around the back was tight but we managed to...

I went to the Avondale with my boyfriend for our anniversary, just for one night and then we met up with family in padstow. I can safely say I think it deserves more than 3*! When we got there we were greeted very nicely by the man who runs the place who was quite happy to have a chat with...

We booked at the last minute as we couldn´t find anything else available. I understand why. Apart from it´s first-class location it has nothing else really going for it. We stayed 6 nights. The bed linen was not changed, the towels were after we asked and the small shower was very mouldy. The place needs a major refurb as a...

Does exactly what it said on the tin. Comfortable room and a great breakfast. Definitely better than camping at Boardmasters. Very near to the Boardmasters pick up point for the shuttle bus. See you next year.

The owner is very accommodating & his breakfast was nice. The room seemed under serviced but the bedding was clean. The shower needed some attention, neither myself or my friend used it because of that. There is a big difference between antique and old. This place is treading a fine line. However its a very short walk from the Newquay...
