Always stay here so we get an extra night before perransands. Always check prices throughout the year as they do good deals. General wear and tear but Always clean and staff Always friendly and helpful
I took my wife away for the night for her 40th birthday, also our first child free night in 5 years, and it was a pleasant stay. The reception staff were very helpful in directing us to available parking in the close vicinity and the bar maid who served us in the evening was very polite and accommodating. Even in the morning she was just as friendly! Credit to the business!
Having stayed at this hotel a number of times we knew what to expect from the room. Surprisingly this room was one of cleanest we’d had, carpets clean and only a little mould in the bathroom. The fan in the bathroom didn’t work so probably why the mould was happening. The hotel is due an upgrade mid November so that should help with some of the issues in other rooms. We had a seaview room thanks to Emanuel on reception. All other staff we met on our stay where friendly and helpful
The location of the hotel is fab but the building itself needs a proper refurbishment. The carpets are old dirty and smelly , there is no air con in the room nor can you open the window to air the room. The walls are cracked and badly painted , the standard of the room for that price is questionable.
This Travelodge is located right on Newquay seafront with beaches just a short walk away, plenty of bars, restaurants and shops scattered around, an arcade just across the street. The staff were so friendly, welcoming and helpful. We had a lovely stay here.
When we arrived at hotel no-one was about and eventually got served by someone who wasn't in his non uniform saying he wasn't working but checked us in. We got to our room and it smelled really bad like dirty drains, the pillows smelled sweaty and musty and the pillow cases had stains on and to top it off the bin wasn't emptied and had a used sanitary towel right on top of it. The 2nd room the gave us was better but still wasn't great. Was cleaner but the pillows wasn't great still. The hotel as a whole is need a major revamp. The carpets are loose and ripped up so they can be a trip hazard and the lift is really rickety so does not fill you with confidence. They also say its dog friendly. Not that friendly as we wasn't allowed to bring ours to breakfast in the morning and we couldn't leave her in the room as it was so warm as there wasn't any air conditioning. I know this is a budget hotel but at least make the rooms clean. Wasn't worth the £100+ I spent for the night there.…
We had a small problem with the room when we first checked in a Emmanuel was very quick and helpful at fixing the problem and sorting it out. He was very polite and professional and sorted out the problem immediately. The location was also great and we would stay here again
Such a shame the cleanliness of the room let down the hotel as they have a stunning view of the sea! Cobwebs decorated as if it was Halloween! Hairs on spare pillows(not changed) hotel or hostel??????
Was cheap but not cheap enough to warrant the state of this hotel. Wouldnt bother with travelodge again after staying here. Dirty rooms, smelly rooms, stained bedding, complete lack of amenities, bad location, noisy.
A really enjoyable stay in Newquay Hotel in excellent position Central. Less than 100 metres from railway station. Ideal for buses. Two minutes from beach. Staff were so friendly and helpful nothing was too much for them
