When myself, my husband and my daughter recently visited Newquay we popped in here as it was close to where we were staying (the travelodge - right next door) as we arrived early for check in. The pub was lovely and had a very friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Friendly staff too :) Will definitely go there again and would recommend it.

Stayed here for 1 week early August, we were a party of 9 in 5 rooms. On arrival we were checked in by a friendly member of staff who gave us all the information we needed on meal times, door keys, car parking etc. Our clean, comfortable room (12) was ready so we were able to drop our bags and...

The menu had plenty to choose from and all seemed reasonably priced. We went for a beef roast dinner which was excellent. Fresh vegetables and plenty of meat, all of which were tasty and well cooked. Would recommend to any one who fancies some good fresh pub food.

If you'd prefer a quieter break away then maybe stay off the beaten track. The guy who checked us in and served at the bar (from...

The hotel it's self was clean, good food the carvary on a Thursday night was brilliant. Because of where it's situated it can be very noisy through the night with people using the side Lane, because of this you can't sleep with your room window open and it does get really warm through the night. For us the best part...
