Arrived on a wet and windy November afternoon. Friendly greeting, shown to room. As to be expected, great room with a sea view (discovered that in the morning). Only downside was that the restaurant is closed on a Tuesday evening. If I'd have been notified, 5 stars would have been given..

I stayed here for two nights while starting a Lands End to John O Groats bike ride. It was cheap and perfectly adequate for my requirements. The room was compact with an adequate en-suite. It wasn't luxurious but for what I paid I got my money's worth. I didn't eat or drink in the hotel except for breakfast, which was...

.The choice of meat was very good, they even offered well done or rare beef (and both were). There was good selection of different vegetables not just your usual peas and carrots. The desserts were to die for and a bargain at £3.50 if you had an adult carvery. Only negative is the food was not hot enough, I have...

We decided late on Sunday afternoon we would try and get a table. They were very helpful and we were seated within 5 mins. Our Sunday roast was great they even made just a cheese sandwich for my fussy son.

I stopped in for my dinner on my first night in Penzance. The Shepherds Pie was great, with seasonal veggies. The service was excellent. Over looking the sea the view made all the difference to the atmosphere.

The hotel is in a good location and the sea views are lovely, its a shame that just some things about it were not great. Our first two nights were disturbed by the resurfacing of the road directly outside our room. Had very little sleep both nights. Although not the owers fault, they would have had plenty of warning it...

Went here for food as they were the only place we could find still serving food at 3pm. The staff have no idea what's going on. We stood for ages waiting to be seated before I stopped the waitress waking past us again and was told we could sit anywhere. We chose a table and were left, with no menu...
