We actually stayed here in march 2006 as we were due to go over to the Scillies the next day. I have to say, it was the draughtiest coldest night I had ever spent in a bed and breakfast. I had my six week old daughter with me and was genuinely worried about how warm she was. It was abit...

I spent 5 very pleasant days at The Arts Club. It's going through many changes of improvements due to new management. This isn't a traditional hotel or a boutique hotel. At present, it's a little rough around the edges but I'm sure it will improve in the following months. The one thing it has got is excellent friendly staff who...

I booked this accomodation on The Lonely Planets recommendation as a BUDGET B&B ! The reality is a very down at heel (once beautiful) Georgian building which is being run by a few charming and friendly ladies. The welcome was genuinely warm but an overwhelming feeling of the Emperors New Clothes abounded. Did any guests really find this place value...

We loved the beautiful building, warm welcome and excellent, unique accommodation. Wonderful building and a great central location: sea a few minutes on foot one way, and town centre a few minutes up the hill the other way. With a beautiful garden, amazing views of Mounts Bay and St Michael's Mount, and a lovely fresh breakfast, the new management have...

Stayed for 2 nights over Easter weekend, received a very friendly and relaxed welcome. Lovely room right at the top of the house with very old but comfy bed and en suite, full of character, as is the whole house. Amazing breakfasts in the morning cooked by the very cheery chef who did the best scrambled eggs I've ever tasted...

Lovely location and a lovely friendly atmosphere. Harry and Emily made us feel so welcome. This is accommodation as it should be, really laid back, no stringent rules and lots of interesting entertainments on tap. The place to stay in Penzance...

Having never been to Penzance before, I picked this gem of a B+B purely by chance. We arrived late afternoon and were delighted with our large comfy room. We headed out for supper and on our return found a Tango dance class being held in the bar/lounge! What a delightful surprise. This is a fun, if unusual place to spend...

I read the reviews on TripAdvisor before staying here and was in two minds, but a friend recommended here so I took the plunge. My partner and I were looking somewhere a bit special and funky rather than a dull hotel/b&b and the Arts Club did not let us down. The location is excellent for exploring Cornwall although nearby parking...

Excellent location and looks good on website. Very warm friendly welcome. Downhill all the way from that. Despite "no vacancies" on door, realised rather too late that I was the only guest. Bit spooky to be all alone in that building; apparently no resident staff. No smoke alarm in bedroom and fire exit through locked bar. Whole place needs a...
