We only had a single night in Port Isaac, and were fortunate enough to book the Old School Hotel. We stayed in the Latin room, which was positively lovely. The room was quaint, clean, comfortable, and quiet. But those words don't do it justice. The view from the windows was spectacular. We had very little interaction with the staff (because...

I think the word "Lovely" was invented for this hotel in this village of Port Isaac has to be the closest thing to "heaven" on earth. Set on a cliff overlooking the sea and village is a beautiful sight to behold. The staff is most accommodating; Sam in reception, Rachel in dining, and Shell in housekeeping. All proficient and friendly,...

Stayed here for 2 nights at the end of April for a friends' wedding reception. I don't think I have visited such a beautiful place. The room, food and staff were fantastic. The location idyllic with beautiful cliff top walks. Highly recommended.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights in April and thoroughly enjoyed it. From the time we booked to the time we checked out nothing was too much trouble for the team who looked after us. We booked the Latin room, a massive room, with a massive bed and views to die for. We stayed on a b...

Staff working here are excellent, friendly and welcoming. Check in was efficient and the food served was fantastic. The hotel is badly in need of some TLC and looks somewhat unkempt on arrival. Weeds growing everywhere, an un swept car park, rusting fences, rotting front door, exposed and painted cables.......... But they are fully booked thanks to the Doc Martin...

We stayed at the Old School House for one night and left feeling slightly disappointed, the staff are lovely but not over helpful or attentive. We stayed in the Latin room which had a great view, the king sized bed was nice and the bathroom was clean and tidy. We were very disappointed with the breakfast which wasn't very good....

Good varied menu and friendly staff. Seemed to accommodate children well, plenty of space - though not busy when we were there on a wet day mid week in March. Clean light airy atmosphere and apparently has good reputation. Check out the toilet doors if nothing else!!!!

Staff were very friendly and loved the food. Room was average but did the job after a long day of walking. Great location as walking distance to the town. People all over town were so friendly. Would highly recommend visiting Port Isaac for sure.

We stayed at the Old School Hotel in March 17... Firstly, when we arrived our room wasn't ready until around 15.00 which was a bit disappointing after a long drive.... Never the less, we had a stroll around the village and took a trip to the local pub which killed a bit of time before we checked in....!! Once we...

The Latin room has pristine views of the harbor and of Fern Cottage, the house that is used for the exteriors of Doc Martin's home and surgery. It is right across the harbor. This room is very large with high ceilings and timber details exposes. Gothic windows. Modern bathroom with a deep, modern soaking tub. All of the hotel hosts...
