We had a great stay in Puffin Lodge. Gorgeous cosy little lodge perfect for the 2 of us but also had a second bedroom where 2 more could have stayed. The location was fantastic- a short walk to both Port Isaac and Port Gaverne, and the view of the sea was beautiful. Would absolutely recommend to anyone!!
We stayed for a week in Swallow Cottage which was the right size for two people though caters for another two with bunk beds. It was great having a balcony off the upstairs living area with a view across to Tintagel and countryside. I sat there a lot of the time that we were in, watching the comings and goings of the chickens, guinea fowl and ducks. The cottage itself needs a bit of tlc to make it excellent, a bit more attention to detail in the general preparation for guests would be good, but a perfectly acceptable stay.
We’ve been coming here for years and even in these strange pandemic times nothing can spoil a relaxing week at Trewetha-cozy lodges great location and view, coastal walks and lovely local foods. A great family stay ation
Stayed recently with friends in Campion Lodge. The lodge had everything needed for both a short or long stay.. Nice spacious open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area.with television. Bedrooms were a little cramped but the beds were very comfy. Located just outside Port Isaac it only takes about 20 minutes to walk down into the village (a little longer on the way back!). Can thoroughly recommend a stay here!
This is our second stay at the site. It is well worth booking well in advance to get the furthest lodge with the best view overlooking the sea and Tintagel in the distance. The location is great for visiting the area. Dogs are allowed.
Just returned from a week in the swallow cottage. The cottage was lovely with the bedrooms downstairs so you could make the most of the views from the lounge. This cottage had a balcony with table and chairs which was lovely to sit and have te in the mornings watching the ducks and chickens and alpacas playing along with the stunning view. The cottage was very well equipped and had everything you could need. We were a family of 4 with a dog and it suited us amazingly. The farm is about a 10 minute walk from port isaac harbour. This walk is really nice but a little tougher on the way back up. We would definitely stay here again.
This was probably our 12th trip to the site, we normally stay in Dolphin lodge a 4 berth log cabin. The location is great, views from the lodge are excellent and it’s walking distance to Port Isaac (Doc Martin & Fisherman’s Friends fame) and Port Gaverne and not far from Polzeath for surfing and a multitude of cliff walks in between. It is not cheap, lower to mid range out of peak season but although over the years some things have changed (flooring/ kitchen units/ sofas) annoyingly every year there are niggly things missing/ broken. It’s as if the lodge is cleaned but the cleaner/ owners never do a proper stock check...each year I have left a list of things required for the housekeeper but they never really improve. This year there are 4 of us but only 3 glasses, the main oven works but the top oven/grill doesn’t, three saucepans but only 1 lid and two handles are almost broken off, toilet seat wobbly and shower not draining (needs a mr muscle declog) etc etc. There are also two cockerels onsite which start crowing at dawn (4am until 7am) every day. We will return for the views and location, but having stayed in some amazing lodges for similar prices (e.g Wareham Forest Lodge & Hawkchurch both in Dorset and a privately owned lodge near Abersoch, Llyn Peninsular) this is a very poor cousin. We do not think the lodge deserves the star rating it gets. It should be downgraded one star at least.…
Booked into the Dolphin Lodge, at Trewetha Farm Lodges. The lodge was excellent, self contained. It had Big Bathroom, 2 Big bedrooms (1 x Double, 1 x Twin), One very large kitchen/dining/lounge room, with large Double glass doors overlooking the sea and shore line all the way to King Arthur's Castle. Stunning views. Easy reach for St Issac village, and touring other parts of Cornwall.
We visited Trewetha Farm on 08/04 for a 4 night stay. We stayed in Swallow Cottage, which is a 2 bedroomed upside down cottage. It was lovely. My 6 year old daughter Amy had fun staying in bunk beds for the first time, of course she had top bunk. The double bedroom had a very comfort bed. The bathroom was fine, with a lovely shower and the towels provided. The living area upstairs was great with a beautiful view out to Tintagel and beyond.the kitchen had everything we needed. The surrounding area of Port Isaac, Rock, Daymer Bay, Polzeath and Padstow were well explored. All in all a wonderful holiday, the hosts at Trewetha Farm were wonderful and friendly. Oh having a 6 year old having access to a communal washing machine was very handy too. Thanks to all!
My husband and I had a lovely stay in Stable Cottage. The cottage was well equipped and had everything we needed. The owners were on hand but not intrusive. It is in a peaceful setting on a smallholding with ducks and hens wandering about which added to the charm. The only negative is we would have liked a recycling facility for our waste . But all in all a relaxing and peaceful stay.
