Stayed here for 2 nights...welcome could have been better, however breakfast lady was excellent! Rooms have been refurbished but still need new windows...gulls woke us up every morning but actually that was nice as it was a reminder of how close you are to the sea. Location wise it was excellent, right in the town! No parking here and an...

A cosy, comfortable hotel with a fabulous menu, friendly staff and perfectly situated in the centre of town. Rooms are clean, well stocked and I slept better than I have in ages! Highly recommend it for lunch, dinner but especially for an overnight stay. Breakfast includes full English as well as cereals, toast and croissants.

We visited this hotel for an evening meal on a Saturday at the beginning of Easter. We had our three and five year old children with us. We received a very warm welcome. The hotel restaurant was busy and tables had been reserved but the man behind the bar showed us to one that we were able to sit at....

We had a pleasant room (superior double). It was quiet and had a lovely outlook over the garden. Unfortunately the bed was extremely uncomfortable (low and lumpy) and the duvet was not quite big enough as it was smaller than the bed which meant we were quite cold all night. The whole place did not feel very clean and breakfast...

The hotel rooms are above the pub which is perfectly placed to get to beaches and shops of St Ives. Our room was on the top floor (there's no lift) it was very clean and bed was very comfortable. Shower in the bathroom was excellent too. Generous free toiletries and tea / coffee making equipment provided. Breakfast was superb, served...

Nice B&B and the experience was a positive one in general but there's no parking...arrgh! Lugging bags from a car 10 minutes away was a pain. It does say there's no parking when you book but I failed to spot it (epic fail). There is pay and display nearby but that obviously increases the cost of your stay. Other than...

Fantastic service in this delightful hotel. Nothing too much trouble. Very clean room, deliciously coffee at breakfast and good atmosphere in throughout. If you are over 70 - and I am - ask for room 9 or 10. Fewer stairs...

A warm welcome, lovely staff. Room was very clean. The breakfast was as good as any that you would get in a much larger hotel, everything you need was available and the full English was freshly cooked. Although we didn't eat lunch or evening meal in the bar, the menu looked great, much better than advertised on the website. There...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Queen's Hotel is a late-Georgian, three-story building in the heart of picturesque St Ives. 5 mins from the harbour and beaches, we have ten en-suite bedrooms, which have been redecorated with vintage furniture and Cornish artwork hanging on the freshly painted white walls, plus sparkling new bathrooms with new showers. Downstairs is a relaxed and friendly bar with delicious pub food that was awarded an AA rosette in 2011. Everything is prepared on the premises - the menu is chalked up on the board daily using the finest local, seasonal ingredients Cornwall has to offer. Bread baked daily. Homemade ice-cream. Local beers. Warming fire. Children are very welcome: upstairs a camp bed and a travel cot are available to borrow, all windows have black-out blinds; downstairs there are boardgames + toys in the light and airy bar, baby-changing, and children's portions available. The harbour front and Fore Street are under five minutes walk away. Selected by Alastair Sawdays. ... more   less
