We booked a room here very last minute as my partner had a job booked nearby so I wasn't expecting a whole lot given we had only paid £69, but was pleasantly surprised from the minute we walked in. Were greeted by a very helpful guy who took our case and showed us to our lovely little room for the...

Repeat visitors to the Queens Hotel which is ideally located close to the harbour a short walk away. The rooms are reached via a series of stairways to three levels and well equipped to meet your requirements. Not ideally suited to disabled access due to the steps and stairways. The bar is well stocked, the staff will always give you...

Lovely place to stay, we were only in St Ives for one night and it is perfectly located to see all the main bits of the area. Rooms were lovely with everything you need - it was slightly hot but they provide a big fan which sorts that out immediately. Breakfast was very relaxed and pleasant service; good offering of...

Pub and breakfast very nice. Room pretty basic and tired but wasn't expecting much for what we paid. The room we were in overlooked the road outside, this was noisy with people at night and again from early in the morning, I'd suggest trying to get a room on the other side of the building where I assume it's quieter,

The hotel was in a great location, staff were friendly, it was clean and the rooms were recently updated and stylish. They aren't big rooms but how long do you spend in your room anyway! No lifts if that is a problem for anyone but the price was very reasonable.

Stayed here for 2 nights...welcome could have been better, however breakfast lady was excellent! Rooms have been refurbished but still need new windows...gulls woke us up every morning but actually that was nice as it was a reminder of how close you are to the sea. Location wise it was excellent, right in the town! No parking here and an...

A cosy, comfortable hotel with a fabulous menu, friendly staff and perfectly situated in the centre of town. Rooms are clean, well stocked and I slept better than I have in ages! Highly recommend it for lunch, dinner but especially for an overnight stay. Breakfast includes full English as well as cereals, toast and croissants.

We visited this hotel for an evening meal on a Saturday at the beginning of Easter. We had our three and five year old children with us. We received a very warm welcome. The hotel restaurant was busy and tables had been reserved but the man behind the bar showed us to one that we were able to sit at....

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Queen's Hotel is a late-Georgian, three-story building in the heart of picturesque St Ives. 5 mins from the harbour and beaches, we have ten en-suite bedrooms, which have been redecorated with vintage furniture and Cornish artwork hanging on the freshly painted white walls, plus sparkling new bathrooms with new showers. Downstairs is a relaxed and friendly bar with delicious pub food that was awarded an AA rosette in 2011. Everything is prepared on the premises - the menu is chalked up on the board daily using the finest local, seasonal ingredients Cornwall has to offer. Bread baked daily. Homemade ice-cream. Local beers. Warming fire. Children are very welcome: upstairs a camp bed and a travel cot are available to borrow, all windows have black-out blinds; downstairs there are boardgames + toys in the light and airy bar, baby-changing, and children's portions available. The harbour front and Fore Street are under five minutes walk away. Selected by Alastair Sawdays. ... more   less
