We stayed at Gekko Lodge for 10 days in late August. We found it easily (using Sat Nav of course). Catherine was great at keeping in touch leading up to our stay. We stayed in the top room which had great sea views and a lovely good sized wet room. The room was very clean and the beds were very...

Gekko Lodge is a wonderful place to stay, about 5-10 walk into the town. We stayed in Room 1, amazing views across the beach & the sunsets were fantastic. Catherine was a great host, gave us everything we needed, including wine glasses when she saw we had wine, a nice little extra touch. Also very helpful, giving advice on places...

What a wonderful place to stay. Amazing ocean and beach views from the top floor. Tasteful, modern design inside and well appointed. Catherine provides excellent breakfast with lots of choice. Overall, Gekko Lodge has a very relaxed, family feel that was worth coming all the way from Australia for. And such a beautiful part of the U.K. to take a...

Our second visit. Was great to go back. This time we went in room 1. Views were great and the breakfasts were brilliant and a great way to start the day. There were loads of great added touchs such as bringing up wine glasses when Catherine saw we had wine. Would highly recommend.

My husband and I had a lovely stay here - our host, Cath, was helpful and friendly, breakfast was delicious and our room was beautifully presented. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Oh and my husband loved being able to walk to Porthmeor Beach which apparently is the best beach for surfing!

Catherine was very accommodating and helpful, she suggested some beautiful places to walk and eat locally. It's a nice distance from the town and really close to the Tate. Wonderful views and delicious breakfast, would definitely stay again if...

We stayed in Gekko Lodge over a prolonged weekend. Above all, we valued highly Catherine’s helpfulness on attractive leisure options around St. Yves, the detailed information she gave us and her excellent home-made breakfast. The room was very clean, spacious and had a great view onto the sea. Overall, very recommendable.

After a warm welcome and help with parking the car, we chose the first floor room. The bed was a comfy king size. We saw an amazing sunset from the room and could see across Porthmeor beach. Breakfasts were delicious. Catherine was very helpful and pleasant and gave advice about local areas and local artists. Altogether a thoroughly enjoyable stay....
