The Cohort Hostel is modern, clean, and a sociable environment, located within easy walking distance of the main town. During the stay the staff were friendly, helpful, and had great knowledge of the local area.

Helpful people at the office. Big open shared space for all the travellers. Tea and coffee all day, some emergency products to sell at the office. Nice location, nice rooms, good security. I recommend for anybody.

Overall, the Hostel was great. However, the back court yard could do with a face-lift and an elevator could be put to good use for the older guest, as having to drag one's suitcase up all those stairs was a bit much. Staff were excellent and very obliging and helpfu.

Thanks so much for taking the time to write us a review. There's not much room for an elevator at Cohort I'm afraid - being a Grade II listed building we have to adhere to pretty strict regulations around what we do - however next time we'll be sure to run down and give you a hand: We appreciate your...

Myself and a group of friends of which there were 14 in total were doing the "St Ives Bay Line Rail Ale Trail". We finished in St Ives and needed somewhere low cost to sleep for the night. On arrival we were greeted by a friendly guy who sorted everything out quickly and efficiently and issued us with our 14...

Visited the Cohort over two nights in early Sept as a group of six. We had room 5 to ourselves as we paid the extra for the two other beds in there, for exclusive use. The place is very friendly, very clean and funky. The facilities were excellent. Shared kitchen area and bar area. Free Tea and coffee before 10...

Excellent value for money. Staff are amazingly friendly and the whole hostel is extremely well run. Free tea and coffee before 10. The rooms are spotless. I am a big chap and the beds, showers and toilets were just big enough to be on the edge of comfort which considering the price is outstanding. Great low cost solution in the...

It's a budget hostel, not a luxury hotel, but that being said the facilities are excellent and well managed. It was a bit noisy at night (not surprising given the average age of the guests), but nonetheless a good place to stay if you are comfortable with instant community!

Thanks so much for taking the time to post a review - we really appreciate it. Glad you enjoyed your stay; for future reference it's always a bit quieter outside of the summer season when the average age of our guests goes up a bit ;-).

Generally excellent. Good value central location, good facilities, helpful staff. My only complaint and I dont know what could be done about this, was the seagulls making a hell of a din at 3-4 in the morning, up on the roof. Watch also that your keys and coins dont slip between the big gaps in the floorboards in some of...

Great location in St. Ives. Little bit noisy with traffic on road but near shops and cafes. Very friendly and helpful staff. Room and bed comfortable with secure locker underneath, big enough for medium backpack.
