A fabulous location just 7 minutes walk from the harbour. My room had a view overlooking the harbour which was idyllic to wake up to every morning! Cheryl and Ken were so welcoming and couldn't do enough for me. A full English breakfast with local produce is a must! Top class accommodation and highly recommended.

We have just spent 5 nights here and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Cheryl and Ken made us very welcome. The room we stayed in had a four poster bed and whirlpool bath. Lovely and spacious and the decor reminded me of a venetian hotel room. A daily breakfast was served, after filling in a breakfast form/menu, the day before. The...

This has been our fifth visit this year and still enjoyed it as much as the first visit. We always have a very friendly welcome and this place now feels like a second home. The breakfasts are great and the rooms very comfortable. The location is perfect for reaching town easily and not having to worry about where to park...

The Old Count House is run by Cheryl and Ken. They supply a very cosy and homely holiday experience in this lovely old house. The rooms are spacious, clean and nicely decorated. The wifi is perfect. Breakfast is nice with personal service by Ken and some lovely music to go with it. Cheryl provides good tips for visiting the town...

It ticks all the boxes in terms of location, comfort, breakfast and hospitality. I have stayed in many different rooms at the Count House and they are all of a...

We stayed 4 days here, a very nice place, VERY traditional. Exceptionally clean and cared for. The only small gripe (as in many English houses) is that the hot and cold washbasin water does not come out of a mixer tap, meaning you either burn yrself or freeze! That said, we would highly recommend this B&B. Breakfast excellent and good...

I had a wonderfully relaxing week at the Old Count House. Cheryl and Ken were welcoming and helpful hosts. I was on my own, unfamiliar with the area, just hoping for a time to get to know this part of England, and this was a good choice of base - very accessible to nearby sights by bus or train, and...

Kev and I love the Count House - its like our second home. Ken and Cheryl are the best hosts in the world. We receive a warm welcome and every where is spotlessly clean. We have been many times and we cant wait to return. Its a cosy restful place and we love it. Ken and Cheryl are two of...
