We enjoyed a week in the self catering flat at The Old Count House during October half term when we went to Cornwall to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The flat itself was lovely with brilliant views of the harbour. We had everything we could possibly want for our stay, in fact I wanted to stay for good!!! It was very... More

I have just booked 3 rooms for myself, adult son and daughter for our July 2016 week’s holiday for our fifth consecutive year at the Old Count House. Why? Because it’s the perfect place from which to enjoy St Ives and the surrounding areas. A warm friendly welcome always awaits us. Nothing is too much trouble for Cheryl and Ken,... More

Had a death in the family and couldn't get there and was threatened with small claims court by the owner if I didn't pay up. I did ask if there would be any flexibility given the circumstances. Left a bitter taste in the mouth

I can only think that this review has been posted to the wrong property. I personally deal with all bookings, phone calls and emails and this does not register with me at all - especially as the post states that they travelled as a couple in November 2014 at which time our Guest House was closed and we were out... Spent 4 nights here for my partner's birthday and we both had a great time. The owners are incredibly helpful, our room had a nice view of the town and the breakfast was excellent. Location is close enough to walk to shops, restaurants and bars within 10 minutes so we found this B & B perfect.

Spent two nights here as part of walking holiday. The accommodation was excellent with lots of historical features (It was the Count house of course) Very friendly and helpful couple who have run the B&B for 25 years I believe. Fantastic full English Breakfast and comfortable rooms. Have a parking space too which is a god send in St Ives!

We stayed five nights in the prettiest room overlooking the bay with French windows and beautiful flowers on the windowsill. Breakfast was delicious with everything you could possibly wish for. There is a lovely conservatory to relax in with a Finnish sauna and massage chair. In a lovely, quiet part of town, would warmly recommend it.
