We have visited numerous times over the last 20 years or so and always found it to be pleasant for a drink. This year we visited with our 8 week old baby! When entering the pub we were abruptly told no prams it can go in the corridor, not helpful when you have a sleeping baby. May I also point...

Visited here for a drink and received a great welcome. There's benches outside so you can chill and watch the world go by. The food is nice with a varied menu and not to pricey, with lots of local produce.

Consistently good quality, quantity and price. A real bonus in St Ives which can be expensive and parsimonious. But The Sloop raises the bar on all levels. You cannot find a decent curry anywhere in St Ives ir Hayle or Penzance, but the Sloop puts that right with its green thai curry. Well done you guys. Please only ever change...

This pub is a great rustic pub with an ideal location across from the beach with tables outside so you can take in the view. We went in for a drink with our pooch, it was busy but we managed to get a small table for 2, people were stood all over so I put my little dog on my...

The appeal of this inn is its ancient origin and olde world charm. It claims to date from around 1312. The flagstone floor is about the most uneven I have ever experienced. The interior is battered and looks as though it was excavated from rock. Beams and alcoves proliferate. Sadly the food is nothing beyond workmanlike and could be ratcheted...

We booked 2 rooms for a night. Rooms were very comfortable, small but cosy. 50 metres far from the harbour, parking even closer. We were apparently lucky the downstairs club was closed. Maybe worth a check for opening days. The Bowspirit Room has a spectacular view, funny enough the curtains let way to much light during the night. Breakfast was...

It was lovely and warm inside! Two women had mulled cider which was delightful and the men drank Doombar. We had the crab sandwiches which came with a small side salad which were excellent. The pub was full and the atmosphere great.

We went here today for a Christmas Lunch as in previous years. The well advertised 10.95 lunch was a total disappointment. The stuffing was burnt, the turkey over reheated and dry, the roast potatoes (2) were actually baked and both had serious blight with a black core, the vegetables were poorly prepared and not well washed with long woody roots...

Prompt service, beautifully decorated for Christmas, the burger is a must have! Food and drink were reasonably priced with plenty of menu choice. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Will visit again, maybe even stay as a guest.
